Ajax Cafe is an eclectic experience. The menu changes by the day and I believe they source their products in the PNW. Drinks are excellent. Dishes are unique with great flavor and sauces. Service is pretty good. Hours are weird, Thursday -Monday, 5-8pm and pretty sure reservations are required. We were there on a Monday at 5:15pm and it was already packed. There is outdoor seating available. One downside is reservations only seem to be taken when it’s open, and you need to make them days in advance. I would consider this a fancy restaurant tipping the scales at about $50+ per person. Dress is casual though. An excellent place for a special occasion, just be sure to reserve a table early.

If you enjoy being near the water and dining outside in a hidden offbeat spot go to this Cafe. Food is local and fresh. Have a variety of vegan and non vegan appetizers and entrees.

Elissa and I had the one of the finest meals we’ve enjoyed anywhere. Ajax cafe is a small hidden gem in Port Hadlock Wa. It sits on the water and the food, atmosphere and staff are top notch. We completely enjoyed our dining experience. Forgot to take pictures of the appetizers which were stuffed Poblano pepper with risotto, Brussels sprouts in balsamic and honey and the clam chowder was amazing. Main course was baby back ribs (amazing) and pork tenderloin in a delectable mushroom sauce. High recommendations for this establishment.

Our first visit there was at the same time as a 48 person party and we still got excellent service and an outstanding meal in better than expected time.

By far my favorite restaurant restaurant in the area. Convenient, accessible; delightful setting. The staff is energetic, attentive, polite and helpful opinion every war. The food is terrific; imaginative, beautifully and thoughtfully prepared and present, could scarcely be better. I LOVE this place, and I would KILL for the baby back pork ribs. Other worldly.. And a terrific wine list.

We went here as a recommendation by someone who grew up in the area and it did NOT disappoint. The clam chowder was the absolute best I’ve ever had, it’s unlike any other chowder out there. Seriously, it’s a must-try. They literally serve it to you with a golden spoon too. It was a really lovely experience, and our waitress was so friendly too!

I had the Ahi tuna, which was served rare. Very good dish. Broccoli was tasty appetizer. Another person in our group had halibut, and he said it was very good. Service was friendly, but had to ask to get utensils and several times to get more bread for table.
