This new business is so friendly, family oriented. Food is so good. Everything was on the money . The owner was so pleasant and offered a great sitting option. Sunday lunch was taken care of in one shot. Will definitely be coming again after a long shopping at Woodbury.

Came here for the first time with my partner and we will 1000% be back. We tried the fried catfish, whiting, and shrimp and everything was seasoned so well. Js Special Sauce was a hit for us too. We also decided to take home a piece of carrot cake and it was absolutely delicious (very moist and the cream cheese icing was perfect). The staff were extremely welcoming and kind, and assisted me in choosing my meal. Support small businesses and come here!!

1 star is very generous. It’s my first time here, the restaurant has high ratings on service and food and my hopes were high. It’s Good Friday and I placed an order for pickup later in the evening. I arrived 5 minutes early in my pickup window and ended up waiting 30 minutes! During that time I witnessed the chef and the Manager/Owner arguing with each other. Apparently the Chef went on strike at some point during my wait time and nobody said anything to me. I had to come to my own conclusion that my food wasn’t being prepared. It was beyond frustrating to wait 30 minutes and no one had the courtesy to be up front with me about their inability to serve food. The restaurant management seems to be very new, the staff is very unsure of what is going on, patrons can hear the Chef arguing about money and the place smells like cigarettes. Overall a very bad and disappointing experience. Will not go here a 2nd time.

i was pretty disappointed. i ordered the shrimp and 1 snow crab cluster, it came to $57 when i added the lobster tail . was not very happy. lobster was halfway cooked i had to put it in microwave and the Js special sauce was not hitting. i just had a higher expectation walking in. over priced and not worth it. i will not be going back. i would go to tasty crab in poughkeepsie. they give you 2 clusters with shrimp and the Sauce is on the money. owner please do not comment. it is what it is.

I visited this establishment for the first time today. I spoke to 2 people that work there to determine the appropriate amount of food for 5 people. The second person I spoke to is one of the cooks, who recommended 2 boils and said they would add shrimp to our order since it was for multiple people (which I would have gladly paid extra for). My husband brought home the food – we ordered one everything boil and one crab leg boil. There were 4 pieces of shrimp, 3 pieces of corn, and there was no lobster. in addition there was no sausage at all, which is supposed to be included in all boils. When I called, the young lady who answered said the cook I spoke to wasn’t the one who made my food (even though the person on the phone was one of the 2 people I spoke to and was part of the conversation I had regarding my order). She said she saw the lobster in my food. If you know anything about seafood boils, it’s hard to differentiate what’s what since it’s all compressed in a bag tied tightly. What’s more is that when my husband picked it up this same young lady told him there was something else coming from the order that was not ready and that it would be 5 more minutes. Mind you, our order was already in a closed bag on the counter. After a few minutes she called back to the cook and asked if the lobster was ready, and the cook said yes, it was already in the bag so she gave him the bags and he left. Tell me how she saw the lobster through closed bags? I totally get that mistakes happen, but I do not appreciate dishonesty and a dismissive approach to handling customer issues. I have left a message with the manager and am awaiting a resolution before I dispute the charges – I was charged for food I did not get and was told, “sorry”, and that was it. Hoping I can come back and revise this positively, but as of now I will not be returning and expect some of what I paid refunded to me…

Upon entering this establishment it smelled of cigars (I’m sure it’s because there is a cigar bar next door). Nonetheless I placed my order and waited an astonishing 2 HOURS! During this time the Chef and cashier had got into a verbal dispute. It even went as far as one telling the other to step outside! I enjoyed my food which was an order yams and a fish sandwich. My husband, who had fish,shrimp, collard greens, and mac said it was mediocre at best. Upon exiting all I was given was a “thank you for your patience”. Needless to say I will not be returning. I value my time even if others don’t!

I tried to give our new, local business an opportunity, but, unfortunately the experience was not good. Waited over an hour eventhough I called in the order and was told it would be ready in 1/2 hour. Several people were waiting as well and not happy. Apparently there is only 1 deep fryer, 1 chef and the food was not great. Fish was dry and chicken was tasteless, no tartar sauce included. There was no manager/owner onsite. Not a good experience.

Amazing food and customer service!! I ordered my food and when I got home, I realized I only had the lobster shell in my seafood boil bag but not the lobster meat. I called Js seafood and the young lady, Jenia( I’m sure I’m spelling it wrong, I’m sorry) was sooooo kind and sweet and apologetic and offered to give me 2 or 3 lobster tails. When I arrived she gave me max and cheese which was delicious and on point! Extra lobster tails and lemonade!

Just wanted some fish and chips on a Friday evening. Not a very good experience. The food was not worth the extremely long wait. The flounder was dry and no flavor. Should have just ordered whiting, I guess. I waited over an hour, closer to two, for food. There was only one cook and one fryer. There were a couple of young people working up front. It was a busy Friday. I ended up not even getting the fries with my fish and chips order. After waiting that long, i was just ready to go. They substituted it with the collard greens, which were ok, because my fish was done and the fries hadn’t even been made. Quite the experience. Probably won’t try my luck again and go back.
