Incredibly disappointing food. No one I was with could finish what they got. My mom got some pasta that she ate two bites of. Somehow it was both dry and mushy at the same time. The onion rings tasted like they were fried in old grease, and my brother got claim chowder which had him feeling a little uneasy for a couple days. Overall just a bad experience.

I visited this establishment with my husband this afternoon and ordered a plain cheeseburger, 2 slices of pepperoni pizza and mozzarella sticks. The food was cooked well but SO bland. The cheeseburger came with onions on it, which I hate but I picked them off. The cheese slice only covered maybe 60% of the burger so I really couldn’t taste the cheese, the marinara sauce tasted more like spaghetti sauce, and the fries were completely unseasoned. My husband said the pizza was okay but nothing special. I paid $38 for those few items, it was not worth that personally. The food was edible, just very very bland. Overall definitely 2 stars.

This was a clean, unassuming pizza place. When we arrived, we waited over 5 minutes to be greeted at the counter to place an order. My husband tried to order chili, then chowder – they had none. He ordered honey mustard wings which were fried wings with containers of honey mustard dressing on the side. My daughter & I ordered Greek wraps. We received wraps filled with lettuce, cucumber, tomato & red onion. We each got 1 Kalamata olive in the wrap and a raspberry vinaigrette dressing on the side. There was no fera cheese, hummus or Greek dressing in our Greek wraps. They charged $14 for these Greek wraps! Very overpriced and disappointing.

We called and were put on hold for 9 minutes. They told us that our 2 pizzas would be 25 minutes; so we arrive to pick up our pizzas 25 minutes later. They were not ready. So we sat in the very loud restaurant (I got a headache) for 35 minutes, before we got our food. I don’t think they started our pizzas until we got there. We were very disappointed in the slow service.

I’ve been going here since this place first opened many moons ago. We order the A-1 special and it never disappoints. Unfortunately I was back in Newport visiting and I had heard it changed hands but had to order one. It is no longer the pizza it used to be. Very disappointing . I will not be back.

Awful, again. And again, and again! We’ve been ordering from A1 for 20 years, and it was consistently good, until the past 3-4 years. I’ve cut them SO much slack because of covid, but every time I give them another chance, I regret it. This was the last time. My order took 2 hours to arrive (after they told me 45 minutes). When my cold, greasy pizza showed up, the driver literally drove up on the sidewalk in front of my house and yelled out, “Helloooo…pizza!!!” While he sat in the truck!! I just had surgery on my foot, which is why I ordered delivery in the first place, so I hobbled out with a giant boot on my foot and the jebroni just sat there in the truck. When I said this is unacceptable, driving up on my sidewalk and taking 2 hours for delivery, he said “It wasn’t 2 hours.” It gd most definitely was. And every time I order, there’s something wrong – every time. Never, under any circumstances will I order from A1 again.
