For price, I was not a fan of the pizza. The crust is tightly packed and chewy. We got 2 pizzas but only tried one piece from each. Flavor-wise I’d rather buy Casey’s pizza for the affordability. Disclaimer is maybe some people prefer these flavors and style of pizza, just not for me.

Great place for great pizza in Iowa City. We had the Palace Special and a custom pie. Both were hot ND delicious when we got them home. Flavorful sauce and toppings, crust was good as well. Not super thin crust, but also not doughy chicago style deep-dish either. Give it try, you will be happy!

The service was good. Overall a good experience. The pizza sause tastes good. If you are a big fan of meat on pizza, definitely go with the palace special, they are very generous with the toppings. I am not a big fan of beef on pizza but I wanted to try their special and was not my favorite. Their cheese tastes really good but they don’t put much of it on the pizza, next time I will go with extra cheese.

We ate an early dinner here on Sunday 10/2 and the pizza–as always–was exceptional! Pricing, quality, quantity and service were above and beyond. This has been a regular go-to for our family for decades, and it’s one of my regular stops every trip I make back to my home town. Highly recommended, you won’t be disappointed!

This is in Iowa city classic! When I moved here for college, my best friend’s dad who is an alum recommended we come here. It did not disappoint. Pagliais is uncompromising in authenticity, service, and quality. I also enjoy the warm, simple ambiance of the restaurant. Can’t beat the sausage!!
