I liked it. The service was great, the restaurant was cozy, simple and homie. The food is not overly complicated, homie and fresh, good meat and lots of seafood options. Try clams and sardines with Portuguese beer or wine.

Walked by this place and decided to try it for dinner and what a win! Food was delicious and loved the handsome, but chill atmosphere. Staff were great, too. I only wish that I had left room for dessert! Definitely looking forward to going back.

Nice Portuguese restaurant in the Jamaica neighborhood a few blocks south of the train station. Welcoming and comfortable interior along with an extensive menu of steaks, seafood and other classics. Portions are unsurprisingly large and family-style, so consider ordering to share if dining as a group.

I wanted to like this place…but its a no from me. I ordered for pickup and when I stepped inside the ambiance was actually very nice but the food not so much. The Mariscada Zarzuela (in the tray) was over-priced ($33) and didn’t taste fresh. The pork Alentejana tasted like they were smothered in buffalo sauce. If that was the case I’d just go to Buffalo Wild Wings and not a Portuguese restaurant. Next, the “vegetarian” platter just looks pathetic. Finally, they could’ve at least given us more rice considering that all these entres are lacking a side.
