I’m all for supporting small town restaurants. We were looking for a bit so busy place to eat. Good food. Needs a little TLC and please take care of the fly problem!! They were an issue, food service inspector would not approve of the amount of flies in the building.

When you drive the 8 miles from Lanesboro just to get dinner at AJ’s Dinner you’ve gotta know there’s a reason – especially with so many options in the area. A fun menu with plenty of things to pick from – burgers, fish, chicken and ribs. Incredible friendly staff whose goal seems to be all about service. Not a lot of gluten free options- it’s not that kinda place really.

I had to go to Wisconsin several times and drive past this place. I finally got to stop for lunch. I’m glad I did. I had the battered shrimp basket. Hands down best battered shrimp I ever had. The waitress was nice and informative. The cook was the owner and very friendly. Service was fast. Decor was cute and fun. Location is along the highway so pay attention and be sure to go in. If there’s road construction it won’t impede your entering the parking lot, just drive around the signs.

This is a classic roadside diner without the charm of a classic roadside diner. It is clearly a former gas station turned into a greasy spoon. The dining area was shoddy and dirty.

This place is great. We passed by it after bike ride on the root river trail. Just classic American diner food at fair prices. Small but delicious menu, has all your staples. Can definitely tell fresh and house made. Service was outstanding. Great picnic area around the building as well and they will bring the food right out to you.

Today I had my first experience, and I won’t be driving by without stopping by again, as the salad I had with chicken was great and I can’t wait to try the ribs next
