The place was clean & nice. Staff was friendly. The crawfish ettofe was terrific, 5 out of 5 stars. The Buffett did not have many choices, & the salad bar had not croutons or sunflower seeds. Thought I had gotten chicken fried steak, but it was chicken fried chicken. It was good, the mashed taters were good. The gravy was instant, bland, & a bit watery, gravy needs to be homemade.

I’ve gone to this place before and it was outstanding about 6 Mos ago… today I drove from out of town to return for my birthday dinner and it was disgusting and here’s my list of reasons why. Dirty doors and windows, flies flying around inside. The worst was the food. My husband was treating me to steak and lobster and he got the same. The quality of the steak was the lowest cut of steak I’ve ever seen. I’m talking walmart store quality if you buy the cheapest steak they sale. Then the lobster was overcooked to the tenth degree. The salad was iceberg lettuce with no other mixed greens. Nothing was edible from the steak and lobster birthday dinner, and the entire dinner was left there for the trash. There was no manager as one person told me and that they handle all restaurant issues and took a small portion off our bill which was an employee discount.

First time here and I had some great Fried Catfish and my husband had the best Chicken Fried Steak. Our waiter was on top of everything, he was great. We will definitely be going back.

We are from the Beaumont area and passing through. The Food is excellent. I had the Grilled shrimp and fish and it was seasoned to perfection. My husband had fried shrimp and fish and it was fried to perfection too. My baby girl had shrimp and she loved it. Great service to add to this experience.

OMG A& J Seafood!!! The chicken fried steak dinner is BEAST! Too much food to finish- Teaxas sized portions. My all time FAVORITE place to stop by when we’re in Chapell Hill. Great food, awesome service with a smile and chill atmosphere. Brandon makes the best margaritas ever. Definitely coming back.

Husband surprised me by stopping here for dinner on Mother’s Day. It was fantastic! The calamari was perfectly fried in my opinion, and served with sweet chili sauce (which I prefer over marinara). He ordered 1 1/2 pounds of snow crab legs with a baked potato, I got mahi mahi with crab and lemon sauce. Both were delicious. This place is now on our list of favorites for when we’re traveling along 290 in the Brenham/Chappell Hill area.

April 27, 2023. started out good. my lunch was steak, potatoe but i have a few bites of the cole slaw while waiting and it tasted off. Sadly that was enough to give me food poisoning. Thats all I ate all day, woke up about 3am w/ bad stomach cramps and went from the bed to the toilet for 10 hours straight. lesson learned. what a shame, steak was good.

Overcooked seafood is the worst. My fried oysters were as tough as clams. My husband had the salmon and shrimp. It was also overcooked. Then everything had very bland seasonings.
