I want ALB to succeed, so I have to agree with an earlier reviewer (Erick): the food truck park is full during weekends, they offer friendly service *at* the truck, and the area clean/organized. I ordered carne frita (fried pork) with arroz con gandules ($14; rice with pigeon peas) and a side of Tostones (fried plantains, $5). My wife ordered the chicken wings and arroz con gandules ($13; rice with pigeon peas; she wanted white rice and beans, but they had no white rice). She also ordered an Alcapurria de Yuca ($4.50). We began eating at the table area, but left home because of the mosquitoes. The fried pork and the chicken wings were overcooked, though the pork had good flavor. The rice is long grain (I prefer medium) and while it was seasoned well with visible recap/culantro, it was smokey–which is usually the result of burned rice. The tostones were the best part of the meal. The alcapurria is well priced for its size (~6 inches) and it was tasty, but parts of the exterior was like glass (from over frying?). The price point for Latin food is high–particularly for truck food. Rice, beans, and a protein should not be more than $10 even with inflation (check out Bahía Bakery on Bearss and Florida).

I had this place in agenda for few weeks now, but the food truck park is allways full during weekends, so took advantage of a quiet Thursday evening. Very good service and the area was super clean and organized. We ordered Carne Frita con Tostones, Chicharron de Pollo con Tostones, and one Alcapurria de Yuca. My intend was to eat the food in there, but mosquitoes were very agresive, so we decided to taken it home, which is less than 6 minutes away. I was thrilled during the drive home with the deliciuos smell from the food. Good taste. Unfortunately fried pork and the chicken chicharrones were way overcooked…beyond resurrection or reincarnation, if you believe on anything like that… The meat was so hard and dry that you can’t tell by texture which was chicken and whichwas pork. Ironically, I the alcapurria was uncooked/raw at the center. Would love to say something different, but it was very dissapointing…very very disapointing. I’m giving a 3 star and not lower because any business can have a bad day. But please put more attention to food preparation and consistency of the output.

Worthy of the trip… this truck does it right. They serve authentic Puerto Rican food and did not disappoint. We ordered a ton of stuff to try out what we might like and might not. And there’s was nothing we did not like. The surf and turf and Mofongo (both ways), Chicharrón, de pollo, papa rejena and empanadas (beef/pizza)… everything was amazing! Will be visiting again to try out more for sure.

Everything is very expensive for the quantity, the price would not matter if it was enough food for it. I have eaten in other places where the prices are similar but it comes with enough for one person. In addition, the mofongo was not good, it tasted strange and the rice was very dry and not a excellent atention
