a Modo Mio is more than just pizza and pasta – the Farruggio family has a rich history as immigrants to the U.S. from Sicily. Hailing from Agrigento, Italy, the Farruggio’s brought their Italian heritage and love of authentic flavors with them. The family’s first restaurant opened in 1978. Today, they continue to bring an authentic Italian experience to Arlington. And now, we are starting a new chapter, as “A Modo Mio” meaning “My Way”, focused on bringing you the authentic Napoletana pizza and a fresh new menu. We also revamped the restaurant interior and exterior to provide the right ambience for our clients. Today, they continue to bring an authentic Italian experience to Arlington.

Wow, yes, please come here for the pasta! The lasagna is rich, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The salmon penne is great for the summer, slightly salty but also delightful! We also loved how fresh the salad is and the Italian cheesecake was fantastic. Highly highly recommend a visit here if you love Italian food! We have not yet tried the pizza but I can honestly say it looks very good, as well — I really don’t think you can go wrong. Service was great and the space makes eating here very comfortable.

A Modo Mio is hands down the best Italian place in the area! Their pizza and pasta deal is such a good bargain, the food is as fresh as can be, quick and delightful service! Only reason I wouldn’t recommend is so I can have it all to myself! I also meant to take a picture of the full picture but forgot I wanted to leave a 5 star review. It’s that good here!

We wiped the plates off. Everything was so good. We had a arugula salad, an octopus for appetizers and seafood pasta. We ended our meals with tiramisu and chocolate gelato. We enjoyed everything and didn’t have to wait long. The parking was easy and the restaurant atmosphere was good.

Our second time here. Wednesday: half off pizza night! Pizza (cotto funghi) and house salad and another with shrimp were very fresh tasting (and wonderfully cooked shrimp!).

The food is incredible and authentic Italian! Last night we had the bucatini croquettes, casertana, crudo e rucola, and alpina pizzas, cannoli and tiramisu! Everything was delicious. Our server, Haytham, greeted us at the door, and provided very attentive and wonderful service. The owner, Antonio, was very kind and spent time speaking with us. This is a great business that we love to support not only because the food is delicious, but because the people are so kind and personable.

We were celebrating with family, so we prearranged a family style meal. They were very accommodating! The food was delicious. The staff was friendly and attentive. They were very responsive to our different dietary needs. I can’t wait to go back soon!

We went for lunch, about 1 o’clock on a Wednesday and were surprised how continuously they had people arriving. Yet service was excellent without being intrusive. My husband had a pizza and I Spaghetti Pomodoro. We each felt we had an super lunch. Give it a try.

Amazing food & service in an unpretentious family restaurant… hard to come by these days. We had the special appetizer (burratta & beets) and the flatbread, along with the a Modo Mio Mule (with limoncello)… all so delicious. For dinner, the 3 of us split the a Modo Mio pizza, the 4 formaggio gnocchi (so good I almost wanted to make babies), and the Caesar salad (beautifully dressed & lots of shaved parm). These gnocchi are the best in N. ARL. Hands down! For dessert we did the cheesecake and the panna cotta. Both so good you’ll slap your mama right in the mouth. Or your own face… because maybe you need to wake up from this dream. Lillian was a fantastic server who was attentive, yet also gave us our space. Rosario runs an amazing place. Don’t wait… go!
