Tasty stop on 71W; collocated with Thai food truck that also looks good, near Mighty Fine truck, as well. Juan y Nellie serve up wonderful especialidades along with all the usual, delicious Mexican street food, including sopes, huaraches con flor de calabaza, lingua, al pastor, barbacoa. ¡Espectacular!

Finally! I found a great breakfast burrito in Austin. Breakfast tacos rule the morning in Austin, and I can’t complain much. But in Los Angeles where I moved from, the breakfast burrito is king. I had the Ortega Burrito, which has chorizo and bacon with onions, jalapeños. Instead of scrambled eggs, they were over easy which was a nice touch. Just the right spice for me.

Outstanding authentic tacos al pastor at this food truck. Pay cash for discount. Sit at the tables. Gets busy at peak times. Only open weekdays.

It is now called A Ortega’s A. Amazing trully Mexican food like eating in Mexico City. They have Cochinita, Huitlacoche, home made tortillas, chilaquiles, all types of tacos. And amazing friendly service.

Got 5 tacos from here this morning, Pastor, Carnita, & Carne Guisada. Service was pretty fast, but when we got to opening up our nicely wrapped and packed bag of taco’s I could not believe how overloaded they were, Really got my money’s worth! Flavor and textur’s were spot on. Very lean everything, No veins, no fat just meat all in my mouth. Hehe.

Excellent food truck. Solid selection. Stoked to see they have A LA Mexicana and their Ortegas Especial is the first of its kind I’ve seen and tastes amazing. I’m committed to stopping here on my way around this area.
