Now, how the hell is this #themWILEYS first time eating here!? We literally found out about this place watching a documentary on the TV show “True South” from SECnetwork and Allison was giving the history of the business which made us want to visit(I mean the tripe was the real reason )…So boom, we walk in and the music alone puts u in a mood-I see a bar, some TVs and plenty of sitting room too! We’ve planned this for a week bc my daddy loved tripe and southern eats, so every yr we eat like him and I’m glad we chose this spot cuz errbdy(AND I MEAN ERRBDY) was so friendly! Allison actually took our order(Smothered Chicken/Pork Chops, Mac n cheese, Yams n greens) and was so personable-we even talked a little business too! It’s been a minute since I’ve had the itis the way this food had me and I’m lookin forward to trying EVERYTHING(non pork related lolbvs)

All I can say is this place gave my daughter her bag back. With everything in it. They tried they best to give her what was hers. They are like a family and the customers are like friends environment and you know how family can be when their good but still have that some what attitude to go with it. It’s like hey family whenever someone comes in and your envied to the cookout but you know as soon the one/s invite you to the cookout you still got the ones who actually don’t want to be bother with you but they do just because of them. So that makes the original person who invited you loyal to welcoming everybody to make sure you alright so they keep the with that stank look. You know like a person who is loyal to they people but know they ready for when they get out of line basically watching you. You know what I mean. L it’s like that in there. It’s not bad at all but you can’t take non of the cashiers by face value at all. They put on for their business like a loyal person to their family and friends. You won’t be able to judge it I’m telling you. Also the food has such a different taste to it that it makes the food delish. They put they loyalty into the taste of that food. Now I’m not saying that everybody gone be ready for that type of taste but it won’t be many that don’t is all I’m trying to say.

I tried their Soul Food Sunday and it wasn’t good. I wont go too much into detail but the macaroni tasted sour like they used sour cream or it sat out overnight. They have really good customer service! But they need some AC having a large industrial fan blowing in 90 degree heat isnt it.

Just like everything else…..it was thrown together. The tripe ($8) was ok. In the past it was the best tripe I had ever tasted. The fries ($4) are the cheap ones that everyone uses now with nacho cheese ($1) added. I prefer the regular fries. Idk what to say other than I wish more effort was put into it.

Went on 4/20/23. I bought 4 tripes, and all 4 was cooked so hard that you couldn’t eat it with bread. It was like eating crackling. I was so disappointed. I had been there a couple of times, and had shared my views of approval with my friends. Now my family and I must consider looking elsewhere for tripe. Maybe it was a different cook.

Black folks never think they’re wrong! This DUMMY argued about an order, instead of saying SORRY just bring it back and we will change it; she continued to tell me WHAT HE Said when he placed the order, but I was ON THE PHONE WHEN HE GAVE THE FINAL ORDER AND HE CLEARLY SAID NO PICKLES!
