The staff was very nice but none of my family enjoyed the food. The portions of the chicken tenders is a little ridiculous. I felt the food lacked flavor. But they were very nice and the food came out quick. I will go by for sweet tea any day of the week. It was great. But I’m sorry I can’t spend money on the food again.

I’ve eaten at this Abbay’s pretty consistently I think since the year it opened. It can be hit or miss sometimes, but it’s mostly hit! Truly the fast food version of southern food just like McDonald’s is the fast food version of a backyard cookout. Don’t go in expecting collards that have been cooked all night and you’ll probably have a great experience. I can only think of one time our order had something missing, and every once in a while they’ll give you a criminally small(er than usual) portion of a meat or veggie, but 9 times out of 10, it hits the spot.

The young lady at the drive through was sooo unfriendly at the Abbay’s on Germantown Rd.. the Mac&Cheese was severely over cooked. The Baked Chicken was so very tough that I needed a knife to cut it. The Green Beans and Roll were tasty though.

What a wonderful and fun experience! We ordered country fried steak and Mac and cheese and hamburger steak in gravy, black eyed peas and mashed potatoes and delicious cornbread. It was fast food that was home style. Tasted great and too funny! We met the GM Mr. Smith and he was accommodating and very sweet. Store was very clean and inviting. Great new fun for us!

Food is a bit salty at times, moreso than spicy but it is good. The biggest problem is the staff at the location and the lack of consistency in training people. I’ve gotten the same meal for years (double meat) and whenever a new person joins, they always was to charge for it incorrectly and when you point it out they will then argue with you until someone shows them the correct way to charge for it. Train them in the beginning before putting them on the register.

We regularly travel thru Memphis on our way to Nashville. We normally stop in Jackson at a homestyle buffet restaurant. We saw that Abbays is a southern cooking fast food restaurant, kind of like Boston Market, plus it was easy on/off I-40.

Used to love this place, but its slipping. Frequently missing sides, and today the food was terrible. WAY too much pepper in the beef and parts of it were undercooked. Pink is ok on a steak, not ground beef.

Day before the 4th holiday i guess it was the only people management had to work that evening. Very rude chasher did not want to make change for a 100 dollar bill. But at least the food was good. Hard to get good help nowadays

We love the food at Abbays but maybe there’s a new cook in the kitchen. I was disappointed with the veggies I ordered. The turnip greens and pinto beans were extremely salty. Don’t know why there are salt shakers on the tables if they are going to season in this way. For those of us already on high blood pressure meds, we need the option to add the salt ourselves.
