Red Velvet (Nitro), Stout – Oatmeal, 5.5% ABV, 33 IBU
Impossibly reddish in color (due to the beets) with nitro cascade fading into a pink cap of stable foam, great clarity. Seeing the beer in the glass shows the obvious resemblance to a slice of red velvet cake (red cake on the bottom topped with a layer of creamy white frosting). But the similarities don’t end there. The aroma is dominated by chocolate with earthy notes of beets and subtle wafts of roast coco. The flavor is similar to the aroma but with faint roast and hop bitterness coming in at the end balance it out, not cloying or overly sweet. The mouthfeel is medium and the finish is luxuriously smooth. It’s dessert served in a pint glass!
$4.50

There’s pineapple hops, lemon hops, coconut hops, pepper hops, hop soup, hop stew, hop salad, hop and potatoes, hop burger, hop sandwich. That, that’s about it

History: In the early 1990s Dead Guy Ale was created as a private tap sticker to celebrate the Mayan Day of the Dead (November 1st, All Souls Day) for Casa U Betcha in Portland, Oregon. The Dead Guy design proved so popular with consumers and especially Grateful Dead fans, that we made it the label for our Maierbock ale. Even though the association with the Grateful Dead band is pure coincidence, we have gratefully dedicated Dead Guy Ale to the Rogue in each of us. The Dead Guy packaging remained unchanged for 25 years until 2017 when we updated the labels with our new design

Roundhouse, IPA – Red, 7.5% ABV, 50 IBU
Substantial amounts of late-kettle hop additions and dry-hopping yields a heady blend of fruity aromas of pineapple, peach and citrus. Those aromas continue into a crisply bitter hop presence across the tongue, but the judicious use of toasted and caramel specialty malts prevents the hop intensity from overwhelming the palate. Locally sourced Michigan honey creates a smooth, dry finish that pulls everything together. The India Red Ale style is a variation on the IPA, but with more caramel and toasted malt character and a reddish hue. Roundhouse was first brewed at our original brewery in downtown Kalamazoo in 2009

With this being my first visit they definitely made a good first impression! The food is delicious with very large portions. The fruit was fresh and sweet. Burgers made how you like them. The bar seems to be the main event, rightfully so! The drinks were amazing and reasonably priced. Rock and roll vibe with real guitars hanging and lots of tvs. The young man as my waiter was very pleasant and attentive I think Jack was his name.

We got there around 11am, just before the lunch crowd hit. Already had several others ready to start their weekend. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door, seated quickly, and had our drinks in front of us and orders taken within 10 minutes. It took us that long to make a decision, because of the large selection of burgers, sandwiches, and more! Even though the prices seemed a little high for what we all picked it was worth it! We all left full, with leftovers to enjoy later. You get what you paid for, and our server was excellent!

It’s an awesome place to go out with the friends and chill out with a cold beer and variety of food. One of my favorite place to go whenever we get a chance to hangout with the friends.

Nice atmosphere and polite service. When busy, they are a little pre-occupied and you can get a little lost in the shuffle.

The people there could not have been nicer. The burger I had was cooked to my liking. We will be returning soon. Prices were reasonable to today’s standard. We all are tired of the price increases since Jan 20 2021. Not their fault at all.

Came in with two of my employees, I don’t know if it was because we were all Spanish but our waitress was just not all there when treating us. We have come various times never had treatment like we did today. We went on lunch hours,( our waitress short blonde her name is Bella R) was rushing to take our order which I can understand they were short staff but when you rush taking people orders it is easier to mess up the order or not fully understand which can become annoying for the staff and for the customer. We order hot water but I explained I just wanted hot sweet tea since I speak two languages and it tends to be hard to understand. She still proceeded to get cold water we explained she misunderstood us, she went and still proceeded to get us hot water because of this she burn herself proceeded to make us feel bad for her. After that they charged us for 3 Ranches which was ridiculous, all the times I have came before they never charged us . She could also explain the client it would be a charge you are delivering customer service and this wasn’t it. On top of that they changed their swiping card system now you get a surcharge and she did not mentioned it either. In the past months I have come to eat with my employees never have I been charge for extra sauce or a surcharge. My employees and I felt targeted by the waitress she was gossiping to other waitresses in front of us about us. She even went to who I am guessing the manager with the yellow bright shorts giving us the dirty look what a man trying to intimidate by staring us up and down. It did not stop there the cooks were coming out to look at us smirk and whisper within themselves. Never have I ever felt disgusted with a place in my life until now. My employees are always ordering from this place I have sent a message to the company to stop giving business to a place that shows racism and inappropriate behavior on top of lack of professionalism and customer service. We still tipped her to show her kindness.

Not impressed. I heard about this place as a famed Beatles tribute restaurant but didn’t see much of the Fab Four at all… Except for a couple of posters by the bathroom.

Food was good I went with nachos based on bar tenders recommendation. Chips are fresh and made in house, guac had just the right acid and cheese sauce was good. Lack of a star is in no part due to bar tenders she was great and working it just needed a barback to assist with the size of the bar. Everyone seemed to be a regular so establishment should understand the need for an additional person behind the bar.

***Warning*** This is a REAL burger joint. When they ask you what temperature you want your burger, it does matter. They do it the right way. I am pleasantly surprised. My onion-rings where thick and cripsy, just how I like them. My daughter said it was the best cheese burger she’s ever had (she only orders cheese burgers when we go out to eat.) No wonder the parking lot is always full when we drive by. I gave it 4 starts because I highly dislike the bathroom situation. We will be back!
