Our first time here. Arrived around 5:45. The line was long and took around 15 minutes to pay for our meal and get to the buffet By then there was only two tables in restaurant left that only sat two people so our party of 4 had to be at separate tables next to each other but facing different directions. The food was great so made up for the table disappointment. This place I guess is really popular so I’m hoping the owners can remodel and add additional dining rooms soon. They had to hold up the line of people that were behind us for probably 10-20 minutes waiting on tables to become available. Which is ok except the line wove between the tables where people were eating which takes away from the enjoyment of eating your food with people watching you wishing you’d hurry up so they could have your table. Lol The cashier was nice. The staff was hurrying around refilling trays of food and cleaning tables. The desserts were the standard ice cream with different toppings available, bread pudding, peach cobbler and cinnamon buns. Would come again if I knew what time to come without the long wait. Going back for seconds impossible the first 30-40 minutes they open so over fill your plates and hope you don’t waste too much food.

Not bad… enjoyed the atmosphere and layout of the restaurant as well its rustic appearance. The quality of the food was somewhat mediocre but certainly not terrible. The greens, for example, were bland and the taste of the shrimp etouffe was unmemorable. Also, the peach cobbler was not on par with restaurant quality. A lot of the food items were fried and high in sodium which isn’t bad in itself, but it would have been nice to see more variety showcasing Southern cuisine. My rating would be higher if the food had been extraordinary in taste and quality. Given the price and the overall quality of the food, I wouldn’t go out of my way to revisit but also wouldn’t mind giving the restaurant another chance to see if anything improves. To end on a good note, the service and hospitality of employees was great.

There’s always a ton of people here every time I go, they start serving at 5pm, and they open the doors early so people come in and line up down the whole restaurant and wait for 5. Then you pay and they give you a tray to help yourself to the buffet. If it’s a major holiday, you will be eating while others stand in the open spaces between tables as they wait for a seat. Their food is delicious.

Food is great, crowd was huge. Patrons were respectful, price was comparable. Building is antique but very people friendly! Staff is so accommodating!

Great food. Highly recommended. But they need to fix the flooring especially the bathrooms, feels like you are going to fall in with it being so mushy.

The service was great and atmosphere was and congested.Over the yrs they’ve put nothing back into the business. The food was very bland and lacked it’s original homemade quality that it’s known for.

We love going to Abe’s! It’s only about a 15 minute drive from the house. The people are very friendly and the food is very good! If you leave here hungry it’s your own fault!

A very rustic style building with lots of character. The food was delicious. It’s a buffet so get there early because they open at 5 and are packed at 5:15. If you have a larger group (we had 6) then call the day before and they will reserve a table for you. Very friendly employees!

Good food with many choices. Always friendly staff. Catfish and stuffed crab are excellent. Plenty of food in the buffet all the time.
