Abeshi means am here since am here it has enabled me to cook feed my family, friends and community all kinds of different city in Michigan serving abeshi Ghanaian cuisine which I created dish call michighana which means abeshi from Ghana west Africa and here in west Michigan wild Wild West west through good food, uplifting and awakening in a diversity, equality and above all Human decency!
My children are my greatest inspiration it amazed me how they love African Ghanaian cuisine they love banku, jollof , Red red & more.

My mom and I got the coconut rice and jerk chicken at the farmer’s market today and if I didn’t know I was in Muskegon, I would have thought I was in heaven. The rice is cooked perfectly, the flavour profile is beautiful, the chicken has an amazing texture, and the fresh cabbage added great texture. Now, I’m not normally the type of person to eat beans, but the beans in this dish were amazing. You can smell everything as soon as you get near the truck and it’s just gorgeous if you’re a fan of well seasoned food. I had no issue sitting in the rain downtown to eat because of how wonderful the meal was. The best part is that I had some left so I can eat it again when I get hungry in the middle of the night.

Phenomenal and unique food. My wife and I ordered food here a few weeks ago and were very happy with everything. My wife has unique dietary restrictions and they made a special dish for her and it was delicious. I ordered the Fish and Plantain Tacos and they delicious. The fish is Salmon and whatever the chef did to them was truly special. We highly recommend and will be back!

Absolutely fantastic!! I have gotten into the habit of walking down to Abeshi for the African Burrito and then grabbing a Creeper IPA at Burzurk and I absolutely love it. I sure hope he is back next summer because the food is AMAZING!! And the service always brings a smile to your face 🙂
