I’ve ordered the pastrami sandwich 4 times in the past couple of months. Potentially a very tasty sandwich. 3 out of those 4 times the sandwich was made incorrectly. I’ve only got the pickled cabbage as advertised ONE TIME! So, I decided to give them one last chance today and ordered 2 pastrami sandwiches for take out. Stupidly, especially after my previous experiences, I did not check the order before carrying it out and SHOCKER! MADE WRONG AGAIN! No cabbage! and only one of the sandwiches had tomatoes. Obviously, whomever is throwing the stuff together in the kitchen does not care. There are a lot of BBQ places popping up around here….try another one.

I went to Abita BBQ on a Saturday evening about 7pm and there were no cars in the parking lot which should have been my first sign. My friends and I were the only patrons and all the BBQ was sitting under heat lamps and looked as if it had been for hours. The brisket took a trip into the microwave before making it to the table and the mac and cheese was more than bland. The pulled pork was pretty good. Over all a very disappointing experience I would not recommend this place to any one.

Visiting the area for a horse show weekend and they helped us feed 40 people for a birthday party. The food was wonderful and was talked about all weekend. When in the area we will definitely be back. Thank You for all your hard work on our party.

This is not bbq, I’m from Oklahoma, so I know good bbq. First off I specifically asked for them to chop my brisket, the lady said that was fine. I get it and it’s sliced. I bring it back and the guy says “we don’t do it like that.” He brought back and chopped it anyway. Then I sit down, and the flavor is non existent. I had to drown it in bbq sauce to get slight flavor out of it, the sauce barely had flavor to it. My mom got the pulled pork, which had no flavor also, and it was like it was cooked in a pot. The baked beans are weird and in no way bbq style. Do not come here. Voodoo bbq, which is a chain restaurant is way better than this place.

This place is what every other bbq joint is compared to. She sets the standard here and the others just try to keep up but none have topped this place!! Best of the best!!
