Me and my friends came here for a quick drink with a nice view. Thankfully there was space on the balcony. A really great view of the boardwalk and the beach! We all don’t drink alcohol but they had a lot of great options for alcohol free beers. Our waiter was so sweet as well and always checked on us. Will definitely come back for food! someday!

Hidden in plain sight on the boardwalk with an entrance that includes a glass door sandwiched between 2 businesses. Once inside and up the stairs, you’re welcomed into a second floor paradise with a view from the second floor corner unit. The menu is no frills and direct. Oysters on the boardwalk is a slice of heaven. The crab sandwich has no fillers in the crab cake itself. Mike the owner came to our table to ensure our satisfaction.

When we first entered the restaurant, we were greeted abruptly. We asked to sit outside, and were led to our table by a young woman who did not smile, look at us, or give any level of welcome. She dropped our plates and menus on a table sitting out clear in the sun without asking if the table was ok and walked away without another word. We had to walk back in to the hostess table to ask if we could move our table to somewhere not clear out in the sun, which was when the same young woman rolled her eyes, huffed at us, and turned away. Another host then came to our table to help us move our things, who was pleasant. The waiter was good, a nice guy who was very helpful. We ordered the oysters, poke bowl, and gumbo. Oysters were extremely small, the size of mussels, and were as dirty and covered in sea gunk. Over-priced for the quality for sure. The poke bowl was plain, we needed to ask for hot sauce and Old Bay to make it edible. The gumbo tasted good, but for $24, it was significantly too little food. Our poor waiter couldn’t even tell we weren’t finished the oysters they look so bad. Frankly, this was an awful experience all around. Oof.

A great resturant on the 2nd floor overlooking the Rehoboth Beach and boardwalk. Food and cocktails were great. Service was great. We had the bacon jalapeños, crab dip, Korean BBQ bowl and my child had the buttered noodles. A little pricey, but we expected that at the beach. Would definitely go back again.

This is our second time in Rehoboth, and this place has become our favorite. Love the view from thier balcony, tasty food (yes, it is a little more expensive for what you would pay a few blocks back in town, but you are paying for being at a place with a gorgeous view of the beach). Great people watching spot, very pleased atmosphere (no loud music), and good service. Had dinners, lunches, and happy hours here. Everything we tried here was yummy.

$$. Would recommend for anyone looking for an upscale casual sit down for American seafood fare and a view. A year later (previous review below) and Above the Dunes is still a favorite of mine for lunch coming off the beach. Though prices are higher the food is delicious. MY ONLY REQUEST IS FOR THE NEW ENGLAND CLAM CHOWDER TO COME BACK ON THE MENU FOR ON AND OFF SEASON.

Above the Dunes, you have raised the bar for every future sea food restaurant I’ll be visiting in the future. My dish “Market Salad with salmon” was beautiful and delicious. With a party of four, we were all very happy with our meal. Also, the ocean view was wonderful.

This place has an amazing view of the ocean. This was one of my favorite resteraunts we went to in Rehoboth. My boyfriend ordered the salmon blt he said it was amazing. I ordered the seafood linguini with white wine sauce but without the class and mussels. The shrimp in my pasta was huge. My only tip though would be to add more spices to that dish, it was a little bland. Service was quick but we did go during a bad storm and there was only a couple people in there eatting.
