The lobster rolls were excellent! But the fries and onion rings were soggy and not crispy. We may have caught this place on an “off” day. I still reccomend stopping for a lobster roll!

Great roadside Lobster and BBQ shack. 2 worlds colliding. Outside dining & indoor. They also do a smoked lobster dinner. I had the classic Lobster dinner with steamer clam appetizer. Yummy.

While visiting in Maine, we stopped here for a lobster roll. We were specifically looking for the California style and not too many places seem to make it that way. We thought it was great and really enjoyed it. My boyfriend also got bbq and said it was good. We got corn on the cob for sides which was also tasty. This place has a great atmosphere as well. Thanks for making my first lobster roll and blueberry soda a success!

Great filling meal after a long day in Acadia. I ordered a cup of chowder and a Connecticut Lobster Roll (hot with butter!), which came with one side. The chowder was pretty standard and definitely warmed me up as it was starting to rain. The lobster roll was delicious, served with butter on the side to use as I’d like. I appreciated that the roll came with a heaping serving of fries which were perfectly crispy and salty. MP was $28, but with the choice of side, it was definitely worth the price.

Very casual roadside eatery with indoor and outdoor picnic tables. Not busy on a Tuesday in June around noon. You pick a menu from a basket, decide what you want, and give your order to the cashier. They deliver food to the table which came in a very reasonable amount of time. About 6 beers on tap and another 6 or so in bottles. We had IPAs on draft which were good. They have wine which appears to come out of a box. Various non-alcoholic beverages as well which are self-serve from a cooler. Ordered the pulled pork sandwich, Maine lobster roll, clam chowder, and lobster dinner. The clam chowder was thick and had good flavor. However, the bowl we got looked more like a cup. The pulled pork was tasty as was the side of coleslaw with pineapple which was interesting. The lobster roll was a lobster roll. Nothing terribly special about it but it was good. The french fries are the string type. They were not very crunchy and looked pretty sad on the plate. However, the flavor was delicious. Most likely the fair amount of salt they were tossed with! The lobster dinner was the winner! A huge, steamed lobster that was perfectly cooked – no mushiness at all. The side of corn on the cob was so sweet and crisp. The plate came with melted butter and a small pat of butter for the corn. BTW – they also have something called a Connecticut lobster roll. I googled it and the difference is the Connecticut is served warm with a little butter instead of mayonnaise. All in all, a fine experience. Not cheap – about $120 for 4 people (and one person only had the clam chowder). But that seems to be the price you pay around here. We would return.

I will start off by saying the lobster is 5 out of 5. I will follow that up with a statement that should be self evident – don’t order a cheeseburger from a lobster house! The cheese burger was a 3. Service is friendly, but they are so busy that you might find it difficult getting their attention once you have your food. Bring your own water as their tap water is not always available. It was explained to me that it’s from a well and if not tested – they can’t serve it. That makes sense and it’s good to see they are not cutting corners. For lobster – Acadia Lobster is outstanding.

Nice staff. Food yummy lobster roll…but really small for price. The nearby restaurants seem to have larger lobster rolls with less price. Even though the roll was really good, it was pretty expensive. A regular hot dog roll, grilled to perfection, lobster added…but the roll wasn’t even faintly open to fit the lobster…so really what a full claw amount? Maybe 2 on small lobsters. Sweeeetttt, YES it was sweet. I just think for over $20. And it is not OFF season for lobster, when lobster prices soar….that the roll should have had probably double the meat. I’m not a tourist…..maine born. The roll should be filled for that price.
