Driving to a church service on Friday saw the restaurant while passing we decided to stop, Lord when I say it was the best decision ever. The goat soup dance in our mouth very tasty. My husband talk about it all night came by the next day beofe hitting the road back to GA and this time we had the beef soup fantastic. Friendly staff very clean restaurant will be back again.

Great staff everyone was so polite and friendly. I’m just mad that they didn’t have no steam fish when I was there now I’m back in New York but will visit again for sure. Truss mi pon dat! Salt fish and butter beans was everything!!!!

My mom decided to try them today and I’ve passed this place a few times so I told her to grab me a brown stew chicken with a little bit of rice and lots of extra gravy with a boiled dumpling. I was on the phone with her while she ordered so I made sure to tell her exactly what I wanted because I’m particular especially about Jamaican food I hate having a bunch of rice that will get wasted. So she got the food and came home. When I got my food it was the complete opposite of what I wanted. It was full of rice and just a small scoop of gravy on the rice now why would i want a dumpling with no gravy. The overall flavor was mediocre and definitely not worth a second trip. I’ll stick to Dutch pot way better food and makes it how you request.

It takes a lot for me to write a bad review . I’ve been eating here for years and have recommending this place to coworkers and friends . The food is good but I was surprised at the rude service today at the counter.Usually a friendly atmosphere , not today , I felt like it was an imposition to ask if I can order lunch , I hate to say but they lost a customer today , I will not be back .

Food was fantastic ! Came in around 8:30pm and got the jerk chicken plate which was amazing. The chicken was falling off the bone. Great atmosphere as well. I would high recommend Ackee tree to anyone !
