CASH ONLY! Ackingna’s is not on the best side of town but the food is worth the risk. Everything Fried is made to order. Mac and cheese and greens were okay. I would recommend the fried chicken and the strawberry cake!

Our first time trying this place and the customer service was awesome! The fish, chicken, Mac n cheese, and cabbage were really good. However, the three little oxtails that we got were not edible. They were not tender at all and the gravy had no seasoning. I tried to add some salt but it was pointless.These were the worst I had ever had. But everything else was really good.

The food is very good, and flavorful. Especially the fried chicken, ribs, and neck bones. They have other meats, but those are my favorites. They also have chitterlings, I ordered a plate, but they’re mostly Hog Maws, very few chitterlings in there, and they’re $20 a plate with two vegetables, the reason for the four stars. Customer service was great, they’re very friendly. Plenty of customers waiting in line.

The place is awesome. I have been going there for 4 years, and they also have the best cornbread I’ve ever had. You can get an auntray and 2 sides with a cornbread or roll for 9$.

I have had chicken and other foods from there because “other people” would buy it… and it is absolutely disgusting like it’s been cooked in old grease each time I had it I was disappointed. Not sure why the rating is so high.
