I went here for the first time to try their ribs, and really enjoyed the food I got. With the ribs I got collard greens and Johnny-cakes. The collars greens were amazing, so tender and flavorful! I could not eat all of them, so took them home and enjoyed them for breakfast with an egg on top. The Johnny-cakes were something I had never had, almost like a pancake but made with cornmeal. It was delicious with the butter they served with it. The people working the counter were super friendly and helpful in determining how much food I should order (was going to get the larger portion of ribs, but I was stuffed after what I had) . I will definitely return!

It’s alright. Had the BBQ pork sandwich. Pork was moderately moist w hints of dryness. In my Pic, that is after adding an entire side of barbecue sauce on top. So, all in all it’s not somewhere I would really recommend for a barbecue pork sandwich. For that, I would definitely go with C & G’s Smokin’ BBQ on Nicollet and 43rd over Southside. Their fries are much better as well.

I was on my way out of Rosedale Mall when I walked past the restaurant. The owner was very pleasant and greeted me. I love Soul Food and ribs and walked outside the mall but decided to go back in and give it a try. The ribs were delicious, plentiful and flavorful! I also loved the Johhny Cakes (cornbread). I will be back to try other things! Definitely recommend! Great and friendly customer service as well!

It’s a small place in Potluck food hall but who would have thought that a pinch of American and another of Mexican would result in a delicious combination of flavors. When the cashier asked for my name and phone number to let us know when the food will be ready he replied: “Bonita” (instead of my name) my family and I laughed and we are honored that he spoke Spanish… that was the icing on the cake! Definitely a great experience in every way, worth coming back.

Just ate the jerk chicken sandwich with jalapeño cheese and it was excellent. I am pretty wimpy with spiciness so the first bite caught me napping, but it wasn’t so hot as to be uncomfortable. Would absolutely eat here again.

Friendly service. Just ordered 6 ribs with no sides and ribs were great and tastety. I did not even use the sauce I had them put on the side. Ribs were tender and juice and needed no sauce at all. Definetly will be back when I’m at Rosedale.

Excellent food! Authentic soul food abounds here. I had the ribs with refried beans and collard greens. All of them were finger licking good to me, and I’m from the Deep South.

Came here with my wife to do some shopping and we were hungry, decide to check out the potluck food hall for the first time. After checking out the menus at the various places we settled on tacos from Adam’s soul-to-go. The tacos were authentic enough but cold and in the case of my wife’s carne asada it was terribly tough and not tender at all. Not to mention there’s no option of beans and rice as an add on only red beans and rice which is more traditional for their other souls food items but not Mexican. 40 dollars for 4 tacos each and 1 jarritos is absolutely terrible value. And I will not be ordering any food from the potluck food hall again as it’s just too over priced and portions are tiny. Don’t get my started and smack shack. Save yourself time and money and get a pretzel at Auntie Anne’s
