Fantastic everything. Wait staff handled a rush with fast, professional and attentive service. Went with the special of scallop risotto with squash and a salmon dish both were fantastic. Best scallops I’ve ever had cooked to perfection melted in my mouth. Followed up by raspberry sorbet and a chocolate tart for dessert, both were amazing. It’s very clear everything is made fresh in house.

Best dinner of our trip to Salem, hands down! Everything at the Adriatic was fantastic. We had great cocktails, the bread and apps were great (we had a squash blossom special and the bag of munchkins), and our entrees were excellent. We had the swordfish puttanesca and the scallop special with butternut squash risotto. Our party couldn’t stop raving about them! Best of all was our server, Becca, who was charming and cheerful, and made us smile. She was attentive and thorough, and we just loved her energy! Thanks Becca!

I love Adriatic! I’m always there for many family celebrations and when I was working at a hotel in Salem I often recommended the restaurant. Good food, and a great atmosphere. Weather permitting the side of the restaurant is open to the patio seating giving it a chill and elegant ambiance right in the center of the bustling downtown. Last week I went there with a friend on a rainy Sunday and was delighted with drinks, pasta and pizza and service was really really good. I wanted to say service is always really good, and it really is. Because I had a problem with a pick-up order this past weekend and after a miscommunication with the restaurant representative, the manager himself called me to sort things out. I’m super impressed manager Daniel! You proved that service is always a work in progress and you surely are a great leader to continue to offer your customers a great experience. Can’t wait to come back!

Ordered the cauliflower soup ($11.95) and the chicken saltimbocca ($25.95) both were exquisitely delicious. Resturant has a cozy local feel and comfortable surroundings. Waitstaff was charming and attentive.

Okay here’s the thing: this should be a knockout experience. The venue and location are unbeatable, but, oh boy, the rest of it. Seating even with reservations was clumsy. Servers were extremely informal for the price of the restaurant.

Made a reservation for a birthday dinner a few weeks in advance. Not so engaging and friendly hostess attempted to seat us at a bar high top when the entire restaurant was empty knowing in advance it was a birthday and a more formal experience was desired. The temperature in the restaurant was uncomfortably warm and there were fruit flies everywhere. Waiter seemed new and inexperienced, he was very kind but didn’t know much about much but he was willing to find out so that was helpful. The grapefruit martini was mediocre at best. BUT the swordfish was excellent as was the lobster ravioli.

Great location and very professional staff. Appetizers were excellent with high quality ingredients. Cooked items were not as great. Half an inch of oil in spicy sausage pasta and cardboard chicken parm. Chicken dish with potatoes and asparagus was better.

Dinner and drinks at the Adriatic have been consistently excellent over the past two years that we have been patrons. The waitstaff are always positive and attentive, which I really appreciate (I hate when dishes are piling up – doesn’t happen at the Adriatic) Love the Shrimp Risotto and the Chicken Saltimbocca! Nice wine selection as well!
