Went to aerie while staying at Grand Traverse Resort. They reported multiple times that they were booked fully and could not seat us (2 people) in the restaurant dining room but we could sit in the lounge. So we ordered shrimp cocktail, the aerie salad and wedge salad, branzino entree and salmon. After all of that there still wasn’t a single person in the dining room….1.5 hours later.

My girlfriend, Sarah, and I visited this restaurant for a birthday trip. We both got the chicken and split the charcuterie board. We really enjoyed the charcuterie board, which had a good variety of cheeses and spreads with good portions. The chicken came with an orange sauce that neither of us enjoyed, and overall ruined the chicken that was otherwise very tasty. The asparagus came with a meat that tasted exactly like Canadian bacon. We weren’t huge fans of the chicken plate. They also brought out complimentary bread, which had olives throughout it, and in our opinion was unsettling and overtaking of the other flavors.

I want to thank Rob for following up and getting back to me & Chef Ryan for preparing a delicious Vegan meal for me. We were celebrating my wife’s birthday. My son made the reservations and I looked at the menu and didn’t see anything I could have as a Vegan. I called ahead of time and spoke to Rob. He got with Chef Ryan and immediately called back advising Chef Ryan will fix a cauliflower steak, asparagus, roasted potatoes in cherry sauce with a watermelon/tomato/Arugula salad. It was absolutely delicious! Thank you so much!

I enjoyed the Sunday brunch there the other weekend. The brunch cocktails were delicious and the there was so much food at the brunch. There was a pancake and an omelette station which were so delicious. The main brunch had a great combination of savory and sweet breakfast foods. The staff was very kinda and helpful!

Food was awesome, but our dinning experience was FANTASTIC because our server-Carson was EXCELLENT! He was very friendly and knowledgeable, always checking in on us. Carson was very professional and attentive! My only downfall for Aerie was it’s reservation process. It totally failed us. The Concierge at Grand Traverse Resort also failed in following up on the reservation process. Only because my husband called directly during the day, were we able to confirm a reservation.
