First of all, they said it would take 30 minutes, when we came to the restaurant to pick up the food they said it would take an additional 10 minutes, we ended up waiting an hour total which is fine if they could’ve just told us on the phone that it can be longer. But they didn’t even apologize and said they were very busy (mind you there was no one in the restaurant on a Monday evening…) The enchiladas was soggy, the tacos was salty and the meat was like chewing on rubber. Very overpriced and they don’t show the actual prices, they said they changed the prices but they didn’t update the menu. Don’t go here…

Flamefriends (Flamefriends)
Stopped here while waiting for the clothes to wash next door. They’re currently having renovations done, so the bathrooms are out of order, though I expect they’ll be done soon. They offer several good deals and all the food is reasonably priced. Extra sauces are provided on the side so picky eaters like me won’t starve.

I recently moved here from Arizona where great, authentic Mexican food is plentiful, and I can tell you that Agave is as authentic as it gets! They can hold their own with the very best in Arizona, and of all the places that I have tried in South Jersey so far, they are the BEST!! Beware…if you eat here once, you won’t be able to eat Mexican anywhere else. Friendly staff, great tacos, burritos and frescas!

Very clean restaurant with a big cafeteria-like sitting area. The lady, who we assume is the owner was super nice – – easy to tell that she really cares about the food she serves. Food is extremely tasty–we ordered the Pork Carnitas Tacos and Chicken Burrito. Didn’t realize we got free freshly made nachos drizzled with sort of black bean sauce and fresh quezo with our meal! The nachos were accompanied by 2 different super tasty salsas–one red and one green. The red salsa had the perfect amount of spicy kick; the green one was my fave. Our food looked so good that I forgot to take pictures! Managed to take one of the nachos and salsa.

The bad reviews on here must be from people who think Taco Bell is real Mexican food. Agave has the best Mexican food in this area hands down!!! Me and my husband order from here every weekend and have never had anything bad. Portions are a nice size and food is very tasty. I highly recommend Agave if you’re looking for real authentic Mexican food!!
