The food here is way better than it has any right to be. They specialize in Mexican seafood and serve stuff you won’t find elsewhere in GR, like octopus. I don’t know of any place in the city that has as wide of a selection on Mexican seafood. It’s really impressive. They have other more traditional Mexican fare too and it’s all really good. The free chips and salsa at the table is excellent.

My 1st time frequenting this establishment under the new ownership. Amazed with the total overhaul of the establishment. As the receptionist stated that this is not a ‘tex-mex’ restaurant but ‘seafood’ restaurant. Place was great and service also. Me and my wife also enjoyed the oyster shots!!!

Upon walking in, it seems to be your normal hole-in-the-wall bar. BUT…Their burritos are awesome. Everyone is friendly here, so expect conversations as soon as you sit down at the bar. Obviously they have a juke box (modern touch screen). Past the bar is a huge dance floor and some nudge skill games. Rob and Donnie are very nice guys and good conversationalist!

Agave is an old nightclub turned into an authentic Mexican cantina and can only be described as an experience. It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but once you step inside you’ll be blown away. I had the seafood soup. The servings were generous, filling, and delicious.
