This place is wonderful, really good people and wonderful service. They have some great rotating early bird specials as well. Best sushi around.

Was in the area killing sometime this evening and stopped in to satisfy a sushi craving. The staff was so pleasant from the time I walked in at the hostess stand to the time I paid my check.

Started ordering “to-go” from this place during COVID, and it’s my belief they’re the absolute best of the sushi places in Chapel Hill/Carrboro. Today was our first in-person meal, and I was in no way disappointed. Great food, great service!

I’m so happy to have a delicious Japanese restaurant in Carborro! We enjoyed the fresh sushi, edamame, tempura veggies, miso soup and salad with ginger dressing, and steak & vegetables!

Since other sushi restaurants near UNC campus have more prominent spots on Franklin Street, I never found myself venturing to Carrboro to try this spot until my friend suggested it.

Cozy Japanese restaurant, that has large selection of sushi rolls and other Japanese foods. There are maybe 40-50 different sushi rolls you can pick from. My favorite is the dragon roll and the rainbow roll. Japanese tea and beer (Asahi) is also served, it’s not from draft. Only negatives are the size and parking. This is a small place and the servers will try to fit as many people inside as possible so the space can become a bit cramped at dinner time. There are maybe 10 parking spots in the front of the building, but there is more parking in the back, which is accessible in the evenings.

A group of about 10 of us ate here on a Friday night. First, I want to say how accommodating and sweet the staff were. They do not take reservations, so we felt bad for overwhelming them on a busy night, but they treated us so kindly and did not express any inconvenience. Everyone really liked their food. The first picture is mine where I got the sweet potato tempura roll and inari roll (inner 2 rolls). I am a vegetarian and there were so many more options than I’m used to and it was soooo delicious. The outer two rolls are what my friend got, but I forgot what they were. He really liked them though.

Finally remembered to check this place out. Staff is attentive and we were well care for. Food was delicious & generous portions. Definitely plan on adding them to our regular dining rotation.

This is easily my favorite sushi spot in town. The quality is top notch and the core group of servers have been there for a long time and are all super nice. We love to get the tiger roll and bread and butter rolls, and have worked our way through most of the apps. There’s never been a miss!

Stopped in for dinner on our Anniversary. We hadn’t been here in 5 years, but it is one of our favorites and it didn’t disappoint! Hot tea is always HOT and that is such a plus! We tried 2 new sushis, the Bread and Butter roll, and the Tiger roll. So good, the rice flavor is just right and they don’t pack on a heavy amount. Nice friendly service. There’s a hostess station as you enter and get greeted. I hope we don’t have to let another 5 years go by to enjoy this place.
