I had such a wonderful dinner here with my boyfriend last week. The sashimi combo plate was just amazing, and I tried my first sake as well (super fun). Service was pleasant and positive, and the outdoor seating was so beautiful.

Friday night sushi. We got the sushi deluxe and sake. Nigiri was good, spicy tuna roll was even better. The atmosphere was odd, but the bathroom was clean. (Please give me a thumbs up if you found this review helpful.)

My husband and i came here tonight for the first time for date night. It was a chilly, windy evening so the outside seating was not available. Inside is very small but we were able to sit right away. I didn’t like how we had to go back up to the register to order and pay right away. We both got a beer and since we had already paid, neither of us felt like going back up to order another one to have to pay again. We ordered sever rolls and sashimi pieces. They were served on paper plates and individual soy sauce servings were given to us … nothing on the tables and I am assuming this was because of covid. Asked for shrimp sauce which they brought to us … also individual servings. That being said, the rolls were very good and fresh. We will try it again but perhaps on a nicer day when we can sit outside and see if any of their current ways of ordering/plating changes after covid.

Tied for the best Asian food within 20 miles of our home! My wife snd I have been here multiple times and have enjoyed every meal. The Sushi is fresh and a lot of choices. The LoMein is the best I ever had! Spring rolls, fried rice all delicious!

Food was delicious, service was excellent. Wife had the Dynamite Poke Bowl which was really tasty and very refreshing on a hot spring day. I had the Teriyaki Glazed Salmon Rice Bowl which also included grilled veggies all of which were tasty and cooked “just right.”

I absolutely love this place, love the interior, the outside, the food, just everything. I cannot stand sushi so when I come here I get chicken lo mein and a side of fried rice, and let me just tell you they have some of the BEST lomein I’ve ever had. The staff are also very sweet! Ontop of that they have really nice prices, when I first went here I expected it to be much more expensive and was shocked when I saw how inexpensive it was. Very fresh, wonderful location. We sat outside with our dog (& they provided a bowl of cold water with ice for her) Food was good! there’s a lot of great places on the island for sushi aficionados (Hana Sushi, Fancy Sushi) so Akari is a nice addition… Especially since it’s downtown.
