Amazing haitian restaurant , it will not disappoint. The owner is amazing as well, she’s nothing like those tipical Haitians who will not understand you need to taste something to see if you like it first before maki g a purchase. **All orders are made fresh**. You get great customer service. I drive 25 minutes to go and purchase food even tho I have other haitian restaurants that are 10 minutes away.. their fried goat meat is amazing .. jerk chicken is good and really spicy lol. Macaroni taste good as well.. their. January 1st pumpkin soup is amazing …

A very homey restaurant! I had the oxtail dish with white rice topped with spicy cabbage and fried plantains. It was very good, it reminded me of my childhood vietnamese food Bo Kho. Very delicious

The food and service was terrible. I asked the server for legumes she put a piece of beef in my platter and then she must of saw that she gave me a big piece of beef she the preceeded to take the beef out of my platter and gave me a smaller piece. I asked for Mac and cheese and she literally gave me 4 noodles…I swear I can’t make this up. Never again

I am pleased this golden spot is located near my home. Upon arrival the building might not look like much but don’t let that fool you. I’ve eaten here several times in the last year (and have put several friends on as well) and have never been disappointed. I should’ve added a review much sooner. They put their ankle into making the food taste just like mom and grandma’s. Come here ASAP for your next or first Haitian culinary experience!!!

Food is delicious. Keep in mind this a deli, not like a classic restaurant. Think of bodega in the city if you are unfamiliar. They also sell a little bit of everything. Haitian bread (pretty good), etc. In regard to the food, I’ve tried two plates. Grio with rice. Jerk Chicken with rice. I tried both with the black rice(very good). I plan to go again and try something else. I like it spicy!

No plantains, all the rice were left over. Jerk chicken was to spicey. Unprofessional when I came in, on the phone having a whole conversation and didn’t greet me. she waited till the conversation was finished to serve me. Food doesn’t taste good. My first time going and more likely not returning only for the bread which you can never go wrong with haitian bread.

Akra Deli is my way to go, when i am craving a good and delicious akra and some pikliz. The owner is a nice person and an amazing cook. The food is always deliciously fresh and well priced. I love the black rice with some jerk chicken, i highly recommend this place. When you are there, try their akra and pikliz, then grab a bottle of their kremas to go. The kremas is delicious.
