I was headed to another Italian restaurant near the hotel I was staying in Downtown. I saw Al Dente on my way and decided to give it a try. It was much closer, and we’ve had a really hot summer. But, I digress. I’m glad I made the pivot! I had the Pasta Simplice. I added shrimp for an extre charge. It was AMAZING. I will absolutely return and tell everyone I know to check out this charming, family owned home cooked Italian specialties!! Don’t miss out on a great, affordable, delicioso meal! I really can’t wait to go back with my best friend!

Very small dining area. We got lucky & they were able to seat all 9 of us without notice. There are a lot of bad reviews about the waitress/owner.. At first she was a little cold & seemed annoyed (mind you we had 9 people & no warning), but she was very accommodating and did warm up & became friendly by the end. The food was good & served quick. I’d definitely say this is a good “date night” spot not a gathering spot.

My wife and I decided to try “Al Dente” for date night and we’re so happy we did! The food is wonderful and the atmosphere is authentic and reminiscent of our dining experiences across Italy. We are looking forward to spending many more quiet evenings here in the future.

Service was very dry. Waitress seemed frustrated when asking for something. I asked what was on the sandwich that I had ordered. She said ” cheese and ham and I don’t know what else….” Wow. Poor customer service from this waitress. Waitress was an older woman with curly hair. Bad wait staff. Food was good but service was very bad.

This restaurant deserves 0 star. Unbelievable horrible service. The hateful woman who claims to be the manager is really rude and discriminating. She doesn’t want to serve us at all the moment we enter the restaurant, but is really nice to the next table. She refuses to serve us water without ice, is really mean to the kids and doesn’t even want to check when the food is ready although we have been waiting for so long. We literally get kicked out of the restaurant when I start to express my dissatisfaction. I cannot imagine how this business survives. I explain the situation to the owner, hopefully he can educate his staff.

Love it! Not a big place so would recommend a reservation, that being said we didn’t have one and were luckily able to get in with a short wait. Food was awesome! All 6 of us loved the appetizers and entrees. The chef came out and explained the inspiration for a few dishes to us. Very friendly staff indeed!

The food was very good! I do recommend making a reservation. There are only about 8 tables and a small bar. They do hold most of their tables for reservations. They didn’t have many servers on a Saturday evening. Very nice people. Don’t go in expecting it to be quick it took us almost 2 hours to eat here. It’s perfect for a date night where you want to take your time with a quiet environment. It’s also BYOB so bring that nice bottle of wine and enjoy!

To echo what a lot of other people have said, the lady who runs this joint (possibly the owner?) is bizarre and off putting. I stopped eating here because she is so rude and weird. The food isn’t bad, but definitely not worth it when the poor service and lack of hospitality is taken into consideration.

Great place if you are a big man or if you are not a little woman. I had shrimp added to my salad, but you have to be a VIP for this feature. Requesting a salad without olives might be complicated, so don’t do it! You will love the service!
