Loved the atmosphere of this quaint restaurant. So cute! Food was really good. Owner was very nice. It’s a small restaurant which really brings a homey feel to it. I personally liked the wine much better than the cocktails here. Wine was delicious. Felt covid safe and distanced. I can’t wait to go back! I was looking for a restaurant near field of screams and this was the perfect find

Italian cooking as close as one can get in the burbs. Artisan bread to start, plenty of wine selections, menu served as first plate pasta and second plate meat. Recommendation: eat family style and save room for their daily in house made dessert. We tried 3 of the 5 desserts and left fat and happy. Tucked near the busy intersection between a gas & service station and delivery pizza, you wouldn’t look twice at this building plus the parking lot was full. Figuring out which door to enter wasn’t obvious. Entering for the first time you wouldn’t realize you need to walk straight downstairs, but this place is pretty bohemian. We had a large group so we sat upstairs. Sometimes there’s a few tables available outside. Would love to see this place find a better location.

Kind of a hidden gem. When you step in you go downstairs and there’s a small dining room in the basement. Makes you feel like you’re somewhere else. We got a mussel appetizer which was good, and I got the baby lamb chops with garlic mash potatoes as my entree. I would have preferred a little more chops since I was hungry but the chops were delicious. We then got a chocolate souflee type dish for dessert which was served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Very rich and again, delicious.

Nice quaint basement setting decorated with stucco walls and romantic hanging lights and draped fabric. The grilled steak dishes were delicious, but the pasta dishes just didn’t seem to hit the mark. Friendly staff who laughed when we asked if there was a kids menu. They were still extremely nice and attentive.

There’s not much curb appeal to this place, which sits adjacent to a Domino’s Pizza. But when we got inside, we were pleasantly surprised by a cozy interior, nice decoration and a comfortable atmosphere. The food was simple, tasty and well prepared.

We love this restaurant. It is our favorite place to eat and we come here to celebrate every special occasion. Great food. Great service. Amazing desserts that change daily. Have the grilled romaine salad!

Our favorite Italian restaurant in the Olney area. The owner and staff are dedicated to serving exceptional dishes and fine wines. We’ve visited here 3 times in the past few months and every time has been great. The staff is helpful in choosing food and wine, and the cocktail pours are generous. Will return again!

Best restaurant in Olney. Good food (unique). The bread came very late but was extremely fresh. I requested Beef Tenderloin medium rare and I got medium. So. that was a bit disappointing(I don’t like to send my food back)My husband and mom were both happy with their pasta dishes. The service is good. The decor is nice. You need to walk down the steps to get seated.

My daughter and I had an amazing Mother’s Day dinner at al Sospiro Trattoria. Our waiter was exceptional. He made me a delicious mixed drink that wasn’t on the menu. Our food was out of this world. My daughter had the spaghetti and said, “This is what real spaghetti tastes like!” I had the linguine ai frutti di mare which was equally as delicious. The dessert menu was varied with a lot of tempting options. We got the pina colada bread pudding and chocolate red wine cake. Both were terrific. We will definitely go back. Perhaps our best restaurant experience of all time!

Terrible! The pasta had no flavor. I asked for pepper just to give it a little flavor! I’ve had better out of a jar! The waitress didn’t have any knowledge about the menu or the food. I specifically requested that my tuna not be raw – it came out raw… Save your time and money and skip this restaurant!
