3/12/23: Beef kala bhuna is excellent. I ordered it with paratha. Okra is decent but I prefer Indian okra stir fried and crispy and this one was soft and steamed it seems.

Excellent Bangladeshi style food and then people were very welcoming to us. The prices are excellent for the quantity. This is very much like home-cooked Bangladeshi food – lots of delicious onions, turmeric powder, spice and oil.

I took plain rice, polao, shrimp vorta, shorshe illish, beef kalavuna. Shrimp vorta and shorshe illish was top notch. Beef kalavuna was okay. Tried authentic deshi food after a long time. We also took sweets. That was soft and balanced.

Good and authentic Bangladeshi food. Friendly staff. One con is slow service. We had to ask for water three times before they provided it! Also, they need to do a better job cleaning tables after people finish their food.

Fave place. All the food is good, authentic and feels like home cooking. They also have grocery at the back and other kinds of snacks, sauces and spices. Been here so many times and never disappoints! Friendly staffs!

Aladin Sweets & Market Inc. is a Bangladeshi restaurant in downtown LA. We came here a couple of times. Their food is so good, with a few exceptions. I would recommend you to try their Biryani Chicken, Kachchi Biriyani, Tahari, Chicken Roast, Beef Curry, Chicken Puff, Chicken Samosa, Lassi, and Borhani. If you are a fan of Bangladeshi desserts, you can try their Roshgullah, Rasmalai, Laddu, and Doi. The price seems a little bit high. Their overall service is also pretty good. However, the parking to this place is tricky. There is a very narrow space through which you need to go behind the store.

I would never have chosen to come here had it not been for word of mouth. It’s a typical southern Asian (mainly Bengali) grocery store. Not much to look at, so don’t go by the looks. Parking is in the back. We came here when it was pouring so got parking spots but I doubt you’d be able to find them on a regular day and it is supremely difficult to get the car out of that lot. Might as well park on the street if you can.

Authentic and cozy Bangladeshi market and restaurant. The space has a tremendous amount of love and pride put into it! We had mutton curry, chicken curry, dal, paratha and fresh mango lassi. Will return!

The place is not fancy, but if you are looking for some really reasonably priced Bengali/Bangladeshi food (halal too) – then this is it! Doesn’t give you the restaurant vibe, but people are efficient and the menu is darn affordable! Food is decent too. Can park on the street or in the supermarket parking lot on the opposite side.
