One word…AMAZING!! Everything that I ordered was near perfect. My waitress was super helpful in making suggestions. Portion size was just right. If I had self control, I could have had leftovers. And then….the blueberry lemon cheesecake. I can’t wait to come back to Valpo just so I can go here again.

Visiting Valpo for a few days, we made a last minute change in our dinner plan, and so glad we did! Best Italian food that we have had (outside of being in Italy)! All of the pasta is homemade, which makes all the difference. Fresh, homemade bread dipped in oil that had a delicious hint of onion flavor – outstanding! The Short Rib Tortellini was out of this world, and Grammy’s Lasagna was also amazing, I love when the edges have crispy, caramelized cheese. The sauces and cheeses were so delicious! We also had to try the meatballs, they did not disappoint – juicy and peppery, topped with delicious sauce and creamy ricotta. The service was outstanding, Leah took such great care of us, really went above and beyond. We will definitely be back the next time we are in the area!

I just wanted to share that I had a great experience with Nick and Albano’s! He offered me a $50.00 gift card out in public outside of the restaurant. I tried it for the first time that day and it was absolutely delicious!! I almost ate my entire meal and the homemade bread is delicious. Although I didn’t dine in that day I ordered take out, I would definitely love to come back and pay full price for the food and wine. It was the best pasta I’ve ever had 🙂

This is not your average Italian Restaurant and not your average pasta. My wife and I were directed here by the Owner/Inn Keeper of Valparaiso Inn Bed & Breakfast and we were not disappointed. In the two nights we were in Valparaiso we at at Albano’s twice! Both nights I had the Spaghetti and Meatballs. This pasta is made from scratch with a sauce that is simmered for 12 hours! The meatballs are also house made along with the deserts! I can honestly say that this was easily the BEST Spaghetti and Meatballs I have ever had. If you are expecting this to be a stuffy or snooty establishment you are mistaken. This is a laid back and casual dining experience with the staff and the Owner Nick aka “Pasta Daddy” making you feel like a part of the family. If you read between the lines you will pick up the cheeky innuendos that adults will appreciate but still read as family friendly. You also won’t be hearing your standard Italian Restaurant music here either. The tunes are modern and energetic. The outdoor patio is beautifully decorated but can only be truly appreciated at night under the stars and fully lit up. The indoor seating is likewise beautifully decorated to feel like a rustic vineyard with great lighting that does not feel either too bright or dim. This is an unforgettable experience and once you dig into the Pasta Daddy’s balls you will keep coming back for more!

The wine was AMAZING! The owners came out and greeted us and told us about it. Such an amazing evening! Now the food, WOW! The meals were excellently but I have never had an app bread that made me want to just eat that… forever! The chef, Nick is a genius. I love this place and I just love the owners of the winery. The staff was great, oh and I forgot the cheesecake! Don’t leave without trying! The peach bourbon was my favorite! Go tonight!

The best pasta I’ve ever had! I’ve been a repeat customer for years now, and will continue coming back. So glad he’s partnered with the winery now. The wines we tried were very good as well! Great pairing! The corn tortellini is amazing! Try the appetizer bread with the 12 hour red sauce too, it’s great! Our server Kenzie was very nice and helpful as well.

If you’re looking for pasta, look no further! I have had nothing but AMAZING pasta, bread, and honey lavender cheesecake from Albanos! The owner, Nick, is incredibly kind and a true master of pasta. The chicken tortellini and spaghetti with ginormous meatballs, are by far our favorites. And the fluffy bread with olive oil and red sauce is the cherry on top! Highly recommend ordering your next meal from Albano’s!

The food was amazing, service fantastic and very nice place with great ambiance and outdoor seating. Highly recommend! The wine from the winery that shares the space was also excellent. Felt like more of a gourmet meal one might more likely find in a big city, but it’s a little jewel tucked into an out of the way location in Valparaiso

Though the bar setting and, to be blunt, the strange arrangement of the mixed establishment that they now operate under was a bit of a disappointment from a dinning experience (just to be able enjoy a quiet meal), the food was amazing!
