The food is always fresh and delicious. The restaurant has a calm and relaxing feel with the sound of the water fountain inside. I always get the vegetarian plate which fills me up (a salad and you pick 5 of their vegetable dishes). The spinach pie is my favorite. Wonderful place!

Solid shawarma and gyro. I wish the Gyro had a larger flavor though. Salad dressing was very good and garlicky. No complaints from my end but I just can’t give it 5 stars. Prices were a bit high in my opinion but the food was good and seemed made with quality ingredients. I did get delivery, so possibly eating in the restaurant would have improved things.

Albasha is my absolute favorite restaurant on the Northshore!!! The food is ALWAYS amazing and consistent. I love the Lamb Kabobs served Medium….the servers are always nice and polite….the Chicken Shawarma is amazing as well….and give the Kickin Chicken a try….you won’t be disappointed….OH….and the Seafood Platter with redfish….incredible!!! Give them a try….the portions are huge….a great value for the money!!!

Service was slow, portions seemed small compared to the price. We had to wait 20 minutes for our drinks, 10 more minutes for our food order, then 1 hour and 15 minutes for our food. Flavor was alright, presentation was good. Probably not worth money to food ratio, plus time wait versus food was not good. We drove over an hour to eat there, wad not worth the drive, but if you are local it maybe ok

I’ve been an Albasha fan since their first restaurant opened in Baton Rouge. I’m sorry to report that their food quality just isn’t what it once was. Also their service is lacking as well. This review is based on my last three experiences both at the Covington and Hammond locations.
