Have been to many of the Albasha locations, including this one (many times). Tonight, we got the same exact thing as we usually do— vegetarian plate (2 falafel, 2 rice, hummus, no cheese on the salad) and tonight they put the hummus on the plate with the 2 piles of rice the lettuce for the salad and falafel. Well, naturally the rice was all in the hummus and the rice and lettuce was all intertwined. I’m me and I don’t like my food mixed much but I managed with everything but the hummus. We finished eating everything except the hummus by the time our waitress still never once came to check on us. I watched her play on her phone behind the bar and talk to coworkers the entire time we ate, waiting for her to come check on us. I finally call out “ma’am, can we get the check” and she brings it and I asked if I could get a side of hummus by itself because i wouldn’t eat it with rice in it and it’s never come out like that or I’d have asked for it separate. She goes and talks to her boss. He comes to the table saying that’s how they serve it. I was baffled by him and the whole situation. 5 minutes prior, a man dropped his whole plate and he had new food within minutes so I guess I should have dropped the hummus to get another one. Anyway, won’t be back to this location— not that they care. It’s the lack of service and the owner that did it.

I forgot all about this place until my mom mentioned it. It was my favorite Greek and Lebanese place when I lived over there. My mom got the vegetarian platter and couldn’t stop raving over it. I got the stuffed vegetable platter and it was also amazing. And then the service was excellent too! I really love the small, quiet atmosphere. I will be going back more often.

Really good Mediterranean food, variety, and generous portions. I was there with a group of about 8 people, and we had our own little semi-private area, which was nice. The server was friendly and checked on us as much as anyone needed. Food came out fast.

Ordered lamb shank served with rice, hummus and salad also got a side of grape leaves and a slice of Tiramisu. Every item was prepared to perfection and was delicious.

The place was clean. It was not so crowded. I ordered take out and they prepared my order pretty soon. The portions are big. I’d say 2 plates would be good for 3 average people. The quality of the food was great. The staff had mask on (except one who was briefly in the area). So I would give them a pass on that front. The prices are reasonable considering the portion size.

It’s funny that the day I come to leave a review someone has JUST expressed similar views about the owner. My family and I frequent Albasha Sherwood and Bluebonnet ALOT. We do not live in Baton Rouge so going there is out of the way. We order the same thing, a combination spinach salad with no dressing, fried cheese and broiled salmon easy garlic. I ask for the salmon cooked medium. Today we received a regular salad and flavorless, overcooked salmon with plenty of garlic. Even the fried cheese was overcooked. I called and the owner basically blamed me for not checking the food and implied that I did not order what I stated. His words were “what you order is what we make. ” Obviously not. He didn’t even apologize until I mentioned it. He said if I bring the food back they’ll replace the salmon only. No accountability on him or his employees for the mistakes. No customer service. They just lost a customer and he legitimately does not care.

This place used to be great, but for over the last year now every time I try the shawarma the chicken is dry and crumbling. It is like it has been left out for too long or kept warm on too high of a temperature. Check your orders as well. I’ve had side items missing multiple times now.

Pretty disappointed with the service, love the food. When I got home, realized they shorted me one entree. On the phone, they agreed to refund the money. Called the next day and they assured me it just hadn’t showed up on the credit account, yet. Here we are a month later and still no credit…
