This was my first time at Albelo’s Sub shop, and I went with the Meat Lover’s sub. It was feeding a tasty sandwich, and the ingredients were good quality. I had thought the sausage would be an Italian link-style sausage, but it was crumbled instead. That’s fine, and it tasted good, just not what I expected. It could do with maybe a little less sausage and a little more pepperoni or maybe some pepperonis or jalapenos to give it a little more zing, but I would order this again. They do have a Philly Cheese steak sub on the menu that looked good except I would want to sub real cheese like provolone.

Driving through Ocala and decided to stop here for lunch. They have five star reviews and I wanted to try it. Ordered Turkey, Bacon, Provolone, lettuce and tomatoes with special sauce, French fries and drink $20. The bread tasted two days old, there was hardly any special sauce, one piece of bacon, one piece of turkey and one slice of cheese. It was the hardest, driest, no meat, I have ever had. It is not even 20 mins since I picked it up. I had to pull over from driving to make this review. I love to support mom and pop places but this is ridiculous. Those five stars must be from family or friends. If I’m ever in Ocala again I will absolutely NOT come here. I feel as if someone robbed me of $20. Very upset – I would have been better off throwing my money out the window or McDonald’s up the road. For that much money put meat in your sandwich. SO SAD

Note: closing at 3 pm until parking lot is completed per sign in the window. Went today at 4 pm after hearing about them on 95.5 FM yesterday. It’s located near Quest but you need to park near Longhorn and walk (or get dropped off). Five stars for staying open with the Publix construction delays and poor parking lot overhaul timing by mall management. See the pics 🙁

This is by far the best sub shop that I have been to! I had the veggie sub. It had grilled portabello mushrooms, zucchini, peppers, and onions with feta cheese. They seasoned the vegetables and cooked it in some kind of sauce because it was very juicy. It was soooo good! I’m so happy I discovered this local gem. The customer service is top notch too. They are very nice people.

Albelo’s is the best! Everything is consistently awesome. They make the best sauces in house. Top quality and diverse menu. The owners are such kind people. My young girls get so excited when we tell them we are going to Albelo’s for lunch. Honestly, I can’t pick a favorite sub. The cuban, the Philly, the Greek chicken… they are so fab. Just depends on your mood. Can’t go wrong, and you support a local family-run business. This place is a gem.

New sub shop in Ocala! I’m so glad I stopped by. The owners are very kind and welcoming. I ordered the special of the day, the nachos and the chicken chili. Both were fantastic! I can have soup on the hottest day of the year and be just fine. I’m glad that the soup was hot, flavorful, hearty and plentiful. The nachos were homemade and the steak was cooked right in front of me. I believe in supporting local especially mom and pop businesses. Go try them out!!!

It’s clear that the owners put a lot of heart and soul into this shop. Truthfully they could charge more considering the high quality of ingredients and how well thought out the menu is, so I consider it a bargain. I was craving an Italian-style sub so I ordered the Italian Stallion and it didn’t disappoint. I love it when you don’t have to make any changes and it just comes out perfect. Going back to try the meatball sub (“Utah, gimme two!”)

Great subs with a variety of options. Definitely nice to see a shop branch out from the typical options. The owners were nice and welcoming and are invested in you having a good experience. We got the Fried Green Tomato sub and the Portabello Philly and both were amazing. Highly recommend.

Stopped in today after seeing the menu online. I got the hangover fries and the meatball sub. It was so good. The portion was very large and very tasty. The food was absolutely amazing. I highly recommend this place!
