I stopped twice in 2 days just to experience the DELICIOUSNESS that is Mad’s lemon sour cream pie. The tart lemon and sweet whipped cream are perfectly complemented by a light and crispy crust. YUM! There is something for everyone’s sweet tooth; from homemade pie to ice cream, specialty sodas to candies. My children tried “play dough” ice cream, and I washed my pie down with a tasty huckleberry soda. Every trip we make to Castle Rock State Park or City of Rocks National Park WILL include a stop here.

We stopped for dinner here after getting rained out of a visit to City of Rocks. We were blown away by everything! The customer service was exceptional, everyone was friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. Then the food came out and far exceeded any expectations we had. Everything was high quality and delicious, right down to our kid’s chicken tenders. A cozy atmosphere was the cherry on top. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area.

TLDR: Medium prices for very average food. Chicken strips + fries were $13 after tax/tip. Staff was very friendly. Atmosphere was very enjoyable. Fairly limited menu, but that’s fine for a place like this. Loved the building!

Enjoyed fish tacos and burgers tonight and both were great! Even with how busy they were, service was great. Ice cream was yummy and creamy too! Definitely will be back. Shout out to JT for great service and keeping us stocked and updated.

Very hospitable and the food was incredibly good. Worth the trip and the stop. Definitely eat here if you get a chance. We had three families who ordered most everything on the menu and nobody had any complaints about what they ordered. Everyone loved their meal.
