What happens when you combine three of the best things in this world? Beer, Tacos and Jazz. Well, in the humble opinion of this chef, taco ambassador, certified Mexican, passionate about music and beer taster this place has become my quintessential happy place. But it’s not just having a great product made with local ingredients and talent, that’s not enough, customer service is exceptional. The guy at the Food Truck will always accommodate your orders, even if you don’t like an ingredient, he’ll substitute it and give you a smile, right outside of possibly the only mead distillery in Nashville, possibly the entire state. The food is authentic (and I mean it) completely authentic Mexican cuisine (possibly the only 100% original) in the entire city. The service is THE plus of this comfortable place, you return because the food and the mead give you a smile to the soul. This place simply has the best trio (food, drink and music).

I grew up in San Diego and Alebrije’s tacos and food were not only on par with that level of deliciousness, I think they might even be better. Incredible carnitas, tacos al pastor, street corn… the tortillas were so tender and fresh. I will be back often.

Amazing and authentic Mexican tacos!!! The tortillas are homemade. I had the carne asada, Al pastor, and carnitas tacos. They were all incredible. The carnitas (pork) tacos were so juicy. The chef was very friendly and helpful and you can tell he cares about the food he makes and his customers!! 10/10 would go back!!

These are delicious tacos. I tired all 4 on offer and each was delightful. I dove into mine too fast to snag a pic but i also got a “doggy dog” special and the jefe concurs

Authentic, well made, and complex Mexican food. Every part of every dish has the same attention to detail and quality. Been following Alebrije since the pop up days, glad to see there is a more permanent location that appears to uphold the same elevated quality. It is not cheap though. I can eat quite a bit and I spent around $50 for an appetizer, meal, and dessert.

Unbelievable tacos. Best I’ve had in the US and really close, if not spot on with CDMX. Who knew you could find these in Nashville?! A must go.

Such a wonderful experience and the food was AMAZING! The carne asada tacos and the churros were the bomb! All of the food was incredible and the owner was so wonderful. Such a great place, 10/10 recommend & we will definitely eat here again when we find our way back to Nashville!

Overpriced and not really that great. Taco shop down the street is half the price and you get more food with comparable quality.

Ok…so I’ve been all over Mexico and I live in California where, outside of Mexico, I do believe we have the best Mexican food. However, Alebrije had maybe the best carne asada street tacos I’ve ever had. It was out of this world. I went back and ordered a al pastor Tlayuda (they described it like a Mexican pizza) which I’ve never heard of or tried before and wow, AMAZING. 10/10 would recommend and will 100% be back next time I’m in Nashville.
