Don’t miss out on Alejandro’s! ️ The calabacitas taste like Nana’s, the shrimp Mojo De Ajo is fresh and flavorful, and the churro sundae is a must-try. The staff is welcoming, and the Carne Asada Street Tacos are a must-try. A fantastic dining experience overall.

First time coming and it was amazing! Our server Andrea was wonderful and the owner was nice and talked to us about his favorites from his menu. Best Mexican in Tucson/Marana hands down!

Ok…this place was amazing!! One of THE BEST Mexican meals I’ve had. The carne asada burrito with green sauce smothered over was fabulous. Service was super hospitable, and I believe the manager came to our tabke to check on us twice. Very festive atmosphere. This would be a regular place if we lived in town. EXCELLENT

First impression was great, it’s a pretty place and the waitress was gracious and friendly. The table tent listed cool sounding cocktails, but it’s lunch so I passed. Then I looked at the food menu and it was a lot more expensive than I thought it would be. The chips & salsa came and the chips were cold and the salsa was pretty bland and I don’t even like hot spicy…it just looked like puréed tomatoes. I ordered a I taco salad and it was very disappointing. It was small, but I wouldn’t mind that if it was delicious, but it wasn’t. The taco meat was pasty like a chili w flour in it or possibly blended w salty refried beans. Lettuce was fresh and crisp but dressing tasted like chalky sour cream. Everything is very salty just like a previous reviewer stated (and I like salt). I would love to see this place succeed because they seem like lovely people, but the food will need to improve dramatically. I wish I had stopped at Chipotle.

Brand new Mexican Restaurants always have to live up to everyone’s expectations of what “Mexican” is for them. For some it’s hot, spicy and saucy, for others it’s New Mexican, Hatch or Green Chili everything, others it’s Tex Mex style , Northern or Sonoran. All of course, are preference and upbringing, but ask any Mexican and they will tell you it should taste like your grandma or Abuelita made it fresh for the family. And that is where we all end up. Alejandros name states it from the start. This is Serious Mexican Food and fusion of course. The appetizer we chose was the Abuela Chayitos Mexican Cheese Board and the star of that show is for sure the chorizo and the refried beans, that are accompanied by a selection of cheeses and tortillas and it was full of flavor and a twist on Mexican appetizers that was a surprise and worth trying twice… The main course was both the Beef Tacos Dorado’s plate with Rice and beans and again great presentation and the flavor of the beef quickly made the decision for me, I’ll order this plate every chance I get. And then there was Sobrina Isabel’s Molcajete, and this is a delicious blend of shrimp, chicken and beef along with peppers and the sauce or broth was to say the least special, and I can’t say enough about the blend and dance all the flavors do when laid on the tortilla and eaten. It was fantastic! Please save room for dessert, because Mirandas Fried Ice cream made the 5 year old in me feel great and but the Primo Gabriela’s Sopapillas were light, fluffy and perfect and fyi they threw in some ice cream and that just knocked it out the park for me. Now if you keep up with my reviews you know I never give 5 stars until I have visited multiple times to ensure consistency but this place is the real deal. So for sure we will be back again and again. Tucson!! get out and support! The food alone deserves five stars on what was a very busy service for such a new place, but the energy and love you can feel from the staff would have made it a 5 star experience even if the food had only been satisfactory. So the food being a joy for a fat man’s belly is just the cherry on top! Shout out to the family and staff that took care of everyone but our Server Ramona was sweet and attentive but Miranda was fun and I love the joy she finds in food and family!

Wow! Yes, it’s great to have some serious Mexican food competition in the area! This restaurant is great! We were greeted by friendly staff and promptly seated. It was definitely busy! We got chips /salsa and our drinks right away. The chips are definitely made the right way, fresh! The salsa is flavorful! We had the carne asada burrito 2 different supreme ways and it is definitely satisfying! The chef (owner?) stopped by to ensure we had all our questions answered and then to make sure the food was good! We had the best experience!! My only negative comment is the spring rolls need some refinement. I would absolutely return but I probably wouldn’t order the spring rolls— there is no “Mexican” flare to me it seemed like bland shrimp with lettuce in a rice paper roll.

Arizona is full of great Mexican food, but Alejandro’s is unique. The menu is packed with familiar classics, but executed perfectly and with a subtle complexity that is usually absent in the common dishes. Our table had the chips and salsa flight, enchiladas in white sauce, spare rib tacos, albondigas soup, and an epic molcajete stew in the volcanic stone bowl. On the side were beans, rice and an amazing (and honestly, better) version of calabacitas.
