Our assigned waitress NEVER came to the table. The hostess wound up serving us because the waitress couldn’t handle her tables. The hostess was great. The waitress we were supposed to have was awful the last time we were there, too. She should find a different job. Food was good. Nice atmosphere. We’ll go back, but be sure to get a different waitress.

Cajun shrimp delicious, chicken Kiev not so much, chocolate mousse too much like pudding. My dinner went to the wrong person so by the time I got it the chicken was cold and I never received my potato side but the Cole slaw was tasty. A large party can be a challenge and wait staff were pleasing and accommodating.

After 4 years I returned to Alexander’s and I must say that not only the management and staff are better but so is the quality of food and the selections. Tonight I decided to try the Maryland crab bisque, the almond breaded duck, the honey-lime seasoned Norwegian salmon w/ rice and carrot sides as well as the Cranberry-Mango margarita. My friend ordered the turkey and biscuits with gravy. I’ll start off by saying how attentive the manager and the staff were with making sure that we were seated at a table where we were most comfortable as well as freshly cleaning it until it was spotless. All staff were friendly and accommodating. As for the appetizers, every bite was flavorful and no spoonful was void of crab; every bite gave me more and more of exactly what I ordered and expected.

Nice family style restaurant with 70s / 80s decor. Place is usually busy . Professional and attentive wait staff. Food is mediocre at best but hot and large portions. Locals love this place and people that went there 25 years ago as children now take their children. 3* for food and an extra * for service.

Nice place. Reminiscent of an older diner with a little sprucing up. The food was pretty good and it was not pricey at all. I had a shrimp and penne dish. Our server was very attentive. Overall good experience. Its definitely worth a stop if your in the area.
