I’ve passed this Diner a few times and decided to stop and have lunch. The atmosphere is great, very relaxing. All the wait staff was upbeat and friendly, they were keeping busy. I ordered the chicken kabob and man was I impressed compared to my experience ordering this dish at other diners. I saw some other people order breakfast and based on what I saw coming out of the kitchen I’m looking forward to trying that next. Thank you for the hospitality will definitely be back.

It’s a small town diner. The staff is super nice and attentive. You get what you expect from a diner. Quick, inexpensive meals. Their French Toast was surprisingly good too.

Food is good and comes on big portions, the menu is massive with options from almost everywhere to fit what ever mood your in, the wait staff was also amazing although alex’s of Clinton township is still the best one around, I will happily come here again!

Alex’s has homemade specials and a sharable spinach and cheese pie that tastes like mom made it herself. Make sure it was made fresh that day. A go-to breakfast stop for the locals, you may find yourself in a very family friendly environment.

My wife, son, and I just tried this restaurant for the first time today, after driving by too many times to count. It’s a decent little place, clean and welcoming, and not overly crowded. I was actually a little surprised it wasn’t more busy at 5:45 pm on a Saturday. Service was absolutely wonderful, very attentive and kind. The food was average to slightly above average, but nothing to write home about. However, for the price, I had expected better quality. I will say though, what quality was lacking was indeed made up for in quantity. This goes for the fisherman’s platter, the chicken fingers dinner, and the kids pancake meal. All three of us ended up taking 1/3 to 1/2 home for tomorrow.

My family and myself had just came from the hospital where we had learned that my mother had been put on life support. My sister had told Linda the waitress about our current situation. Linda took all of our hands and lead us in a beautiful prayer. My mother later passed. I will never forget the kindness that Linda showed the day. I as well as my brother & sister were truly moved by Linda’s action. We stopped for a bite to eat and were just touched so much by Linda. We got fed to both our body and soul. This place is a GEM!! Thank you!!

1st time here today, food was good but service was bad on the booths to the right of the door, I was seated quick but took 15-20 min for my order to be taken and still waiting on the straw I ask for, never was ask if a refill was needed on anything.

Had a horrible experience at another breakfast place in Southfield. Called and asked if they could accommodate our group and they did! From the time we walked in they were ready for us and the service was excellent. Food was good and the staff checked on us often. They really moved people in and out quickly with fresh food and good service. I will definitely return!!

I ordered a take out Greek salad. Was very disappointed with the low amount of feta cheese on the salad. I will NEVER order Greek salad to go from this Alex’s in Berkley again!!! The cook is stingy and I’ve had this happen too many times. Get it together , your competition does a MUCH BETTER JOB.!!!!!
