This place use to be really good about 10 years ago. The coleslaw was disgusting. The fish and chips were fresh, however I remember the hush puppies being a lot tastier. Would have been better if I didn’t get so many crumbs with my meal. Still probably one of the better fish and chips but still not worth writing home about.

It’s been a few years since I had been able to go to Alfie’s and I often think of the yummiest fish and chips I had while living at Vandenberg AFB. There are no other Alfie’s that I know of, but the closest I was able to get to them was H.Salt Fish and Chips and Long John Silvers in that order and they both closed all around my area. I just had to make a special trip to enjoy the yummiest fish and chips that I’ve always remembered…

I like the fish here, but it wasn’t spectacular. But I really like fish and chips, so I will go here again for sure. The fish was nice and crispy, but it lacked seasoning. I like vinegar and tartar sauce, but I also want some seasoning in the batter, or even some salt. The chips (fries) are okay, but again, lacked seasoning. The hush puppies are quite good though – more on the sweet side and moist. The restaurant itself has a lot of character and you can watch sports and sit at the bar.

The best fish & chips ever. We came to visit after moving away years ago, and it is still fantastic. The fish & chips and hush puppies are all outstanding. We were so impressed considering we pay much more for seafood in the area, yet this is so good. We will be back!

We are embarrassed to say we’ve been in Lompoc forever and never tried this place. We were ever so pleasantly surprised, and can’t wait to come back. Great family atmosphere, nice draft beer selection, and the food was piping hot, which is a huge plus! As a heads up, we didn’t know that you need to order at the counter, but other than that, we will def be back for more.
