Ordered a whole cheese steak and a cup of of soup for 2 people. The total was 18.50$. Opened the cheese steak to find out it was only 6 inches even though I asked the guy if it was a whole sandwich and he assured me it was. Very disappointed. Over priced food and still left hungry.

Alfonso’s Pizzeria and Restaurant is tucked in a strip mall at a busy intersection off of 206. There is ample parking and the restaurant is separated into a dining in section and a takeout section. The dine-in section has a good atmosphere with tasteful decorations and a very comfortable feel to it. The staff was very polite and happy to do what they could to make my experience positive. The best part about dining in is the bread that gets brought to the table. The bread is delicious and fluffy, pairing well with butter.

We used them to cater our food for our wedding, and when I say they were perfect, I mean it!! They were professional, easy to use, and delivered everything up for us (in terms of food) while the ceremony was going on. We just set up the racks and sternos beforehand, and they did the rest. I had many people tell us that it was the absolute BEST wedding food they’ve ever experienced. And the price was unbeatable. Tons of people pay over $200 a plate at their wedding, and we paid less than $15 and we still had left over food!! AND people said it was the best! My uncle doesn’t eat penne vodka, but he said he had 3 plates bc it was so good. With the leftovers, we were able to donate it to a homeless shelter. You couldn’t ask for a better cater for your wedding food!!

Paul, the manager, needs to be re-educated on the fundamentals of customer service. We called to let them know our to go salad was complete mush due to the hot food items placed on top and bottom of the salad. Instead of him accepting responsibility he has the nerve to say “ I called to complain” then gave a bunch of unwelcomed attitude and poor excuses for inedible food. His solution was order dressing on the side next time. Unfortunately, when you order via Slice app, dressing on the side is not an option, but he should know that, right? Paul, there will never be a next time simply because of your inability to treat people with respect. I’m sure the owner is completely unaware how awful you are. For the sake of the restaurant and food industry, take a hike buddy! Ps, 100s of other restaurants will be happy to take our business along with our friends, family, and neighbors. Congrats! First bad review I ever wrote!

Ordered an Italian sub with hot peppers (+$.75) and hot chicken wings. Wings were not hot at all and came with barely a tablespoon of blue cheese, which turned out to be unnecessary anyway due to the lack of spice on the wings. Sub had barely any meat on it, they forgot the hot peppers which they promptly brought out once I asked for them but barely enough for even half of the sandwich. Barely any vinegar on the sub, had to ask for extra. Would hate to see what came out if we had ordered a more difficult dish.

I happen to be looking for a place in hillsborough to take my mom and went under google. This little gem of a place showed up and I figured, Why not ? It is more of a pizzeria setting, but the food and service was outstanding!! Paul, our server was wonderful! I had the chicken parm and my mom had the veal parm. Both were delicious and the portions were huge! It came with a salad and great little rolls. I would highly recommend this place, so don’t let the inside fool you, it is definitely worth going!!

I previously wrote a review giving them 5 stars and I had nothing but good things to say. Unfortunately we just had a bad experience dining with them. Our server Sam was horrible. He didn’t introduce himself or say hi when we sat down. He immediately took drink orders by saying “drinks?” Sam gave the bare minimum (and even that might be an overstatement), we gave him the benefit of the doubt thinking he was having a bad day BUT NOOO, he was super friendly and introduced himself to everyone else sitting around us. We thought it was odd but shook it off. Then the food came, two chicken parms even though we ordered one chicken parm and one gluten free vegetarian dish. Not a big deal, mistakes happen. The chef came out to clarify the order with us and apologized. Our waiter Sam walked past our table at least 4 times without saying a word to us! He looked at our table and noticed we only had one entree sitting there for at least 15 mins but still didn’t say a word! I work in customer service and was shocked at the way he handled it. A manager came up and apologized about the mistake which was nice but still no word from our actual waiter. The second the right order was delivered, Sam walked over and said “did I make a mistake? Is everything good now?” We were blown away by the lack of service and accountability provided by Sam. We had to get his attention anytime we needed something because he refused to come to our table. I can’t help but think our race had something to do with this since we were the only minorities in the section and somehow were the only ones being treated this way. We heard Sam interacting with other tables and being attentive. We didn’t get drink refills, we weren’t checked on, etc. We didn’t make a big deal about anything and to be honest the only thing that saved the day was that the food is really really good! We will probably return based on the food but will never sit in Sam’s section again.
