We stopped at Alfresco’s on our drive home from Howe’s Caverns. I had a stromboli and it was packed full of ingredients, arriving fresh and hot. My friends also enjoyed their food. The owners welcomed us to look around in their private and public gardens, an abundance of gorgeous plants and flowers.

What a gorgeous restaurant! Such a clever way to make it feel like you’re dining al fresco inside. We just happened upon this place & decided to try it. Unfortunately, they were booked for their dining room (college open house time) so we opted to sit at the bar, which is VERY small. They offered a sofa & tv tray table or the coffee table, if we wanted to sit there to eat…definitely didn’t like or think that was super classy. I can do that at home for free. Had an Awestruck Apple/Pear cider, which was crisp, light & refreshing. Good thing too as temperature in the bar felt like you were sitting on the sun! Our guess was the ovens are adjacent to the bar, hence the extreme heat. Tried their cheese ravioli & their Greek stuffed shells special (think spinach, kalamata olives, feta stuffed) & fresh garlic bread. We got THREE pieces of pasta for $16, which we thought was a tad pricey. Shells were very tasty & creative. Ravioli was just ok. Sadly, the rustic tomato sauce wasn’t very flavorful. I know that in Italy the tomato is the star, but this was plain boring. The bread was excellent- very garlicky, which I like. Maureen our server & bartender was very sweet & really, really nice!

Place is Beautiful, food was good!!! For the area this place is a 6 star. Just keeping my rating at 4 because of all the high end resturants we visit. This is a must try if in the Oneonta area!!!!!!!

Food was very good taste, they may have been short staffed but it seemed that we were forgotten. When our order arrived there was an error but correct. Received a refill of soda after asking and it was wrong (regular Pepsi not diet for the diabetic). Yes we would give it a try again

I’m so impressed! I hate lettuce and I ate all of my salad. My mom is a first generation Chinese woman who generally does not like pasta (why did we end up at this restaurant? It’s complicated) and she ate ALL HER PASTA. I’ve never seen her do that. My veal Marsala was delicious. The bread was also good, the only thing we didn’t like the tiramisu. The inside is also decorated beautifully and the service was good. Would recommend!

Definitely the best Italian restaurant in Oneonta, NY. There is hardly a bad word that could be spoken about this place. The food is delicious, the wait staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is fabulous. It caters especially well to families and couples. During the Christmas season, the place is decked out in some of most amazing decorations you’ll ever see in a restaurant. It’s worth visiting for the decorations alone.

Food was delicious and service was incredibly friendly and helpful. You know a restaurant is good when you come in on a Tuesday night and there are quite a few people already there. I had the chicken parmesan and they did not skimp. There was a lot of chicken and the linguini was very well done. The Caesar salad was simple yet appetizing. I did not have dessert because I was just too full after the main course. Definitely would recommend, although you may want to make reservations ahead of time.

Discussed with this place! I ordered eggplant parm add chicken. Paid 60$ No chicken added, very watery with no flavor at all amd the pasta taste like they opened a can of tomato paste and dumped it in. I’ve eaten here before it was amazing. I dont what happened to this place.
