Last weekend I bought a dozen each of corn and pork tamales and the pork tamales were all undercooked, to the point where you could not get them off the corn husk. This is the second time I get undercooked pork tamales. Their food is on the pricier side and we enjoy it, but we will stick to corn tamales. Lastly, they don’t open on time, last two times I went on a weekend I’ve waited anywhere between 30-40 minutes for service, because although they say they open at 9am, the doors remain locked or if they allow you in, there is no service because they are barely setting up.

This place is not authentic and overpriced for the quality. There so called “frijoles puercos” we’re just runny beans with no flavor. The actual frijoles puercos are supposed to have cheese and salsa ranchera in them. There rice is undercooked. The tamale we ordered was undercooked as well.

The food was delicious but a bit pricey, the service can improve the two ladies at the register were more concerned about their chisme that helping the customers. The location is located right next to a smoke shoppe not my type of atmosphere.

Food was decent but the portions are middle school lunch size very small. My main portion small and I got about 3 bites of rice and beans in my platio and paid $15. Not a big fan of potatoes in my tamales either just seems like a cheap substitute for the meat I’m paying for. One time was enough for me.

This place was bomb! An am not even Mexican . I had the Menudo and my girl had the barbacoa platillo and I gotta say it was full of flover. You get that feeling it was made with love. Definitely recommend if you are around the area.

Great Variety of fresh home made food, great service and reasonable prices! Their Pan de Vieja is delicious, Their Tamales de Elote so soft and sweet they remind me of my mom’s Tamales! Their quesos and panelas are very good and the asientos, frijoles, menudo, etc are really delicious! I Highly Recommend This Establishment!
