My son and I are 100% addicted to this place! Lucky for us, it is 5 minutes from our house and also half way between the home and the office for me. I have never had a bad experience out of the countless times I’ve ordered from the Algonquin Sub Shop. The staff is very friendly. I will continue to grab lunch here at least a couple times a week.

Such a good experience at this shop. I am not the type to leave reviews but me and my boyfriend went in today and each got a sub. I got a #6 “the veggie” and my boyfriend got a #7 “Italian veggie” (my boyfriend is vegetarian and I don’t always want meat) both our sandwiches were DELICIOUS. So full of flavor and you can tell the ingredients are good and fresh. The customer service was very good too ! They are very friendly there. It smelled amazing when you walk in, feels clean in there. Overall an amazing place with delicious food. And I’d like to point out that they have 4 different vegetarian subs. That’s pretty awesome ! definitely have to try this place out if you have the chance.

Holy cow!! Amazing subs, I’m sure, soup, definitely!!! I came here for a sandwich but decided to have the soup (I have the sleeve so my stomach is tiny) I asked to swap my sandwich for soup instead and boy was I happy I did!! The lemon chicken soup is to die for. It’s my fave soup so when I see it I get it. I’ve had it so many places and homemade and here is the best!!! I’ll be coming back for more and dreaming of this soup, ahAha my partner said their sandwich was really good too!!!

I live very close by but I haven’t been there in a very long time and it was a very poor experience and I don’t usually expound on these things. However, there was a man probably the only owner taking orders. It was $11 and change for a beef sandwich. I stood there for probably about 20 minutes and then I asked if they had forgotten about me and he said they only had one person making sandwiches. The fellow removed the beef from a container. Put it on the grill then poured some juice on it. I brought this home to my son and it was so dry. It was simply awful and my son never has complained about anything like this. The menu is extensive, but if this is an example it wouldn’t be worth eating. Anything else there. Decades ago I owned a fast food place just like this slightly larger in Chicago Northwest side. My husband and I were owners and we did have employees but we knew exactly how to make the sandwiches that we had created. This husband and wife were not hands-on. Was very disappointing. So good! I got the Monterey chicken sub and it was tender, flavorful, fresh, and delicious. The bread is top notch! The shoestring fries were a 10/10 as well, seasoned and so good alone, even w/out sauce or ketchup. My partner got the Al Capone and he loved it. Highly recommend this place!

I was bummed that the fryer was broke. I really only go there for the fries. My boyfriend got the Al Capone and loved it. I wanted a Philly with just cheese, and she said to just get the beef and cheese that they use the same meat for both. I said ok, but usually I feel like Philly stk and italian beef is totally different. I’m not a huge beef fan, and this was really spicy from the pepper seasoning on it.

Got the stracks cut special chicken philly and it was excellent. Piled high with chicken, they didn’t hold back. The chipotle mayo was big fuego. Fries were hot and seasoned very well. Would recommend.
