Was craving pizza but the pizza places did not have what I was looking for on their menus so I decided to eat and try some gyros here. But I didn’t know they had Mediterranean pizza. So I ordered the Spinach Fatayer. And when it finally came out, I took a bite and the crust was sooo good. The sesame seeds on it were immaculate to the taste. It was so light and airy and everything was blended well. I loved it and will get it probably once a month now.

Great Value, Great Food, Excellent Service from Andrew in choosing healthy and affordable meals with veggy sides and proteins. Ordered the Lamb Kabob with a Tabouli Salad… for a total of about 12.50 plus tax. The lamb was fresh, juicy and tender and plentiful. I would guess about 8 Oz. The salad was equally as fresh with interesting textures and flavors. On my second visit, I ordered the Chicken Sharma with a mixed grilled veggie side for 10.00.

Great little spot for some solid Mediterranean! Gyro was good and the lamb was cooked perfectly, everything came out quickly! The hound man behind the counter was working very hard on to go orders while working the register and helping prep orders as well, big shoutout to him! Definitely will be back!!

I am a connoisseur of great gyros! I have had some very good ones and very bad ones. New to Charleston I asked my Facebook foodie community where is the best place to get great gyros? This restaurant was named as one. So, it being a Monday and some of the more mentionable ones where closed I decided to venture here since they were open. I drove 1.2 hrs. I ordered a gyro platter with fries. Here is my experience: The Pita was cold and stiff and cut into four sections so it looks like pizza slices. Not like the pita’s I’m use to that are warm and loaded with my favorite gyro choices. Here You get four strips of flavored dry meat. (I suppose one slice of meat for each section of pita). Three slices of a small tomato so you must make a choice on which of the 1 section of your four sections of your pita will not have tomato’s. Enough red onions to slightly flavor three sections of your pita, and enough green peppers to lightly flavor two slices of pita. So basically you will find yourself trying to build your own gyro using 1/4 sections of cold dry pita bread with dry meat. You can expect to get two 1/4 pita’s with all the toppings, the third 1/4 will have a hint of onions and the last 1/4 portion you must be comfortable eating just dry meat and tzatziki sauce. I am very disappointed considering I drove 1hr 20 min for this sandwich. Very disappointing!!! I normally don’t ask for a refund however in this situation I did. I refuse to drive 1.2 hrs for a horrible experience and pay for it. They did refund me my money!

Quiet little Mediterranean spot on Daniel Island. Service was quick and the food was so flavorful. I got the Chicken Gyro Platter and it was a loaded plate that was super fairly priced. Absolutely will be visiting again soon!

There are many options so I have to return to give a proper rating. I went for lunch and had the tuna wrap which was delicious! My friends also enjoyed one of the pizzas and kebobs. You order at the counter and they bring to your table. Desserts looked good. Looking forward going back.

I have done takeout as well as dined in and what can I say… Ali Babas is the BEST spot to grab some Mediterranean food in the Charleston area. The food is always consistent and fresh, as well as the service being fantastic! I’ve personally talked to the owner who is a very down to earth father who knows how to run the restaurant perfectly. I would highly recommend if thinking about takeout or dining in, especially for families!

Ali Baba deli is a hidden jewel!! My wife and I decided to try something different and ended up here. The food is AMAZING! By not having a strong background on the dishes I was a little lost as to what to order but the staff was VERY patient, helpful and did not disappoint!!! This place is a MUST TRY!!!
