We stumbled on this place by accident and what a lucky find! It was great depth find an authentic Italian bakery/pizzeria in Philly. My family had just come back from Italy so we were looking for a place with a similar atmosphere. This place did not disappoint. I ordered the sfogliatella with a double espresso. My daughter order Cantucci cookies and a cappuccino, she also ordered a gelato and some other pastries to go.

First time in Philly, and from the atmosphere to the menu choices, this place is legit! I decided on a classic Margherita pizza and added ricotta and had a side of broccoli rabe (and two chocolatechip cookies for later)…..delicious!!!

Pizza slices are priced by the ounce. They ask you how big but will show you about a two-square slice which I would consider about a ‘regular’ fullness as a typical pizza slice we are used to

I enjoyed my food and service. We went back for dessert. I didn’t care for the vanilla but the other Gelato’s were great.

1. The food was quite good. We ordered the Philly pizza and a bruschetta. Although the portion size of the bruschetta was small, it was delicious. The bread was really soft and it wasn’t hard to bite into.

Intimate dining area and super friendly staff. Our group couldn’t pronounce 90% of the menu items but the waiter was happy to teach us and joke about it which was great!

Food was SUPER good and delicious. Plus, everything was very fairly priced. It’s a great place to go with friends and family, or even yourself! And the ambiance was so nice: ). Gelato was AMAZING but a bit on the pricier side. For a place I just walked into and immediately loved I def recommend!!

The crispiest-crust pizza I have ever eaten. Easily the best pizza in Philly (in my humble opinion). Our waiter was Italian which really added to the authenticity of the place, not to mention all the staff was very kind. Oh, and they sell gelato from Gran Caffe L’Aquila, which is the best gelato in Philly. So yeah, this place is pretty great.

6 of us ate lunch before a matinee yesterday. Food was excellent- the spinach, berry, gorgonzola, walnut salad was delicious. Personal pizzas were fresh and yummy. Great Italian soft drinks, worth-saving-room Gelato and cookies!

Located one block from the Academy of Music in Philly, this restaurant is a true gem, a terrific find made by my partner. Alice is well-known for its Roman-style pizza or pizza al taglio. Since we didn’t have a reservation for pre-theater lunch yesterday whose wait was 45 minutes, we decided to grab a few slices and sat by the window. This pizza is often cut with scissors sold by the weight and they have a number of choices – including classic like tomato pie, we also ordered a number of other choices – diavola, salsiccia e funghi, pachino e bufala and funghi e quattro. We ordered 2 slices each of the Funghi e Quattro Formaggi (Mushrooms, Four Cheeses) and Pachino e Bufala (cheese, basil and tomato). These have to be one the best thin crust, airy and crispy pizza we had. They were on the pricier list side as expected but the quality was very good which we can highly recommend it.
