A surprising little Italian spot in Silverlake! One of the best Italian places we’ve been to in LA. The menu is minimal and on point. Each dish felt carefully designed and the bites were absolutely perfect. We paired everything with unique orange wines. The servers were very knowledgeable and passionate which made the experience even better. Chicken liver crostone, Masa Gnocco Fritto, and Tortellini en Brodo are a must!!

I actually was a guest at your restaurant with a couple of my friends a few months back. And the service we received back then was much better, but probably because you, Heather, was not our waitress. And one of my friends that I came with was Italian, and I’ve been to Italy enough times to know that the food at this restaurant is not even close to Italian, but it is so in the majority of Italian restaurants in the States, but I’ll admit that insulting it yesterday was a low blow and coming from hurt and was unnecessary, so I apologize for that and that comment is deleted. And yesterday yes, I was a doordash driver trying to help out my friend with some deliveries. Unfortunately, there’s no option in Google reviews to choose it, so I had to choose “pick up”. And you may see the situation differently, but that’s how I saw it go. I came to pick up an order, you told me it would be ready in 10 min and to wait outside. I sat at the door, wasn’t bothering anyone, but you insisted that I wait outside. I asked if I could wait inside the restaurant as I was gonna get chilly waiting that long outside, especially since there’s plenty of available seats and I would gladly give it up if any of the customers wanted to sit there, but once again you insisted that I wait outside, which I did. I wasn’t mean or rude to you, I just went out, I followed your “restaurant’s policy”, yet you went on and got me reassigned from the order without even telling me, so I waited outside for nothing. In the recent couple of weeks that I’ve been helping my friend, we’ve delivered from hundreds of restaurants, I’ve also worked at different restaurants, and I also currently work as a server at an Italian restaurant in Glendale, and never in my entire life did anyone ask me or I asked anyone to wait for the food outside, even during the pandemic, and never did I ever reassign anyone no matter how rude or impatient the drivers were cause they had to wait for their pick up for a long time, and trust me, I’ve encountered all kinds of doordash and ubereats drivers. I still got paid for it, but the thing is, a restaurant is in the industry of hospitality, it has to make people feel welcome, and one of the main parts of it is good service. You, Heather, however, don’t make people welcome at all. You had this negative vibe from the get go, and I don’t know why cause I don’t know you and what you had to go through in life. Like I mentioned before, I know that some drivers can be very impatient, but it’s not a reason to treat everybody that way. Regardless of how me and my friends felt about the food, I may have come back and brought even more friends with me and spread the word about the place cause I like the ambience and its location, but after this incident, I’d want to avoid it at all cost. I’m also not gonna pursue this any further, just wanted to let it out and let it go. I sincerely wish you all the best, Heather, and hope that life treats you much better than how you treat others.

Nice ambiance and wide wine selection; great for date night! The chicken liver crostone was a highlight, really well-balanced with the rhubarb jam! Scallop crudo was just ok — the ponzu was deliciously acidic but the almonds weren’t a great combo; scallops could also be served cooler (warmed to room temp really quick). The radiatori was simple but delicious with yummy pork sugo. The fusilli was decent — clams were good, as was the smoked butter sauce (though as butter lovers, we could only eat so much of it).

It’s my first time back after the restaurant reopened post renovation. The food is as delicious as ever. The beef tartare with soy cured egg yolk, cracked farro salad and chili ribs are always good choices. The spaghetti with Dungeness crab and the fusilli with clams were satisfying. The orata with pesto trapanese and bean puree was the hands down favorite. The service is superb. The place is also dog friendly like most places in Silverlake.

Yea, this place is great – it’s small, cozy with delicious food so you gotta make reservations. We were there at 530 (when they open) on a rainy Monday and they were already packed. The service was top notch although it slowed down a little at the end but they were super busy. We had a few great dishes including the scallop crudo, tortellini en Brado (it’s like a yellow soup dumpling) and carne cruda (tartare). The spaghetti with crab and yellowtail collar is ok. The bread pudding was good. Nice way to end the evening. Just so you know, plates are small.

Thank you for making first real date night since baby number two came so special. The food was amazing top to bottom and wines superbly curated. Can’t wait to return on our next trip to LA.

Everything was delicious! It’s a similar experience (in terms of food) to Rezdora in NY, where you have to order several dishes per person and share family style. We went on a Monday so it was pretty quiet, but the food came out super quickly, which was a plus. My husband and I ordered the tuna albacore (so incredibly delicious, so not miss this!!!) as an appetiser and we shared the crab spaghetti, tortellini brood and radiatori. All were amazing!!

One of the best meals I have had anywhere in the world. It’s an intimate dining room with a casual yet cool scene, but the real star here is the food. To start, get the Chicken Liver Mousse and the Radicchio Caesar. Don’t miss the masa fitters with prosciutto and truffle honey. This dish beautifully embodies Alimento’s sophisticated Angelino take on Italian cuisine. The pastas are to die for. We loved the Tortellini en Brodo which is a sort of beautifully buttery Italian soup dumpling. Dessert and the wine program are also world class.
