Stop here after a long day at the Great Sand Dunes. You won’t regret it. The prices are amazing for the portion of food you get. And the food is delicious. I had the spaghetti and meatballs with a chocolate fudge shot. Turns out I loved the fudge so much I had to buy a quarter pound to take home. The interior decor is very cute as well. It is self seating inside and you can order at the register. Service is super friendly and quick.

We ordered the 16inch Sierra Madre pizza and it was delicious! It was very cheesy, loaded with all toppings and had a thick soft crust. The spicy toppings were put on the side. Each slice was filling. 2 slices were more than enough for me. The only con was the 45 min wait time.

Ordered a lg salad and fish and chips. The woman at the counter asked my husband for a tip. Since it was counter service, he said no. When the woman brought our salad over, she said if a lg party came in, we’d have to leave… So weird as there were only two other people in that place. Then she brings the fish and chips. The couple next to us had delicious looking fries and we got… Some disgusting half moon grease soaked potatoes that looked like they got them out of the garbage and put them on our plate. We knew it was retailiation. At least the fish seemed good, but what did they do to that that we don’t know about? Dry gross coleslaw. Since Ft Garland has a couple places to choose from, I suggest you try them instead unless you are a big tipper.

I will always give credit where credit is due, and this place was such a fantastic little restaurant! It was such a old comfortable atmosphere! The food was amazing and if you are swinging through this town especially if you’re going to the great Sand dunes, I recommend you stop here! Burrito had no flavor all I could taste was beans. Green chilli has no flavor. Ordered a side of frys and got these little slices of potatoes that were barely cooked at all and soggy. Didn’t even eat them tried two couldn’t do more. All food in Styrofoam to go containers even for dine in.
