Breakfast was delicious. I had the Western Ave Western Omelet which was loaded with ham, onion, peppers tomatoes and cheddar cheese. The home fries were perfect and just a just a really good flavor. I really enjoyed it and I’ll definitely be back.

I’m from Italy, and I use to go to Pittsburgh every year for around 3 months. And every time, I go for lunch there pretty much every day. And I love to sit at the counter, and chat with the owner lady. The dishes are typical American style. Simple, abundant and cheap. And the soups are fabulous. I really miss that place, and I hope to be able to go there soon…

Loved everything about the Allergy Sandwich Shop. The portions are generous, they use real food and fresh food, and the staff are so pleasant and helpful. The food comes out quickly and hot. Free parking lot too. It is a slight step back in time to the Pittsburgh when you knew other people you passed on the street. That is the feeling it gave me, Mr. Rogers’ Pittsburgh. My only constructive feedback was that the steak on my steak salad was cut first and then cooked. My guess is that this saves time or helps with portion control but I would always prefer to wait longer or pay more to have it cooked whole, then slice it.

This is the friendliest local small town place to eat in a big city! These ladies are so kind and clearly love their patrons and each other. Our food was hot and Delicious! Prices were fair and the atmosphere was relaxed. They have free parking in an empty lot across the street. We will be returning soon!
